Real Techniques Bubble Blending Makeup Brush Review

The Real Techniques Bubble Blending Makeup Brush 260 ($11.99) is a new and affordable bubble-shaped brush that works with creams of all kinds (and powders) for easy, flawless application on your face or body. As with all Real Techniques Makeup Brushes this under $20 bucks and created with super soft bristles that are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
I love brushes like this and have quite a few one in particular that comes to mind is the old Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Airbrushing Kabuki Brush that launched back in 2012. Would you believe I still have it and it’s still serving me well after all this time. I readily admit I’m a finger girl not to mention I don’t apply a lot of foundation but I still love to use brushes like this when I’m doing a full glam look.
The Real Techniques Bubble Blending Makeup Brush features a dense yet very soft bubble-shaped head and features a metallic rose-gold handle. I’m always rather impressed with how Real Techniques manages to package up such well made brushes at such affordable prices. Depending where you buy this you can snag it at around $11 to $12. That’s an outstanding price for such a great brush. And yes, I’ve washed this and the bristles have stood up quite nicely after two washes so far. That being said, I have several hundred Real Techniques that have withstood the test of time over the years I’ve owned them and I have no doubt this one will serve me just as long.
This is a great brush if you use balm foundations, cream foundation, and BB Creams. I’m not a fan of powder foundations since my skin is dry but this will work great with that formula as well. I particularly like this brush with the Covergirl Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence and Rose Inc Skin Enhance Skin Tint Serum Foundation as both those formulas have smaller pigments that “burst” when you blend them. This brush easily pops those little pigments and allows you to mix the serum with the tint for perfect, flawless, coverage.
You can either pump your favorite product onto the head of the brush or pump your foundation onto the back of your hand and swirl the brush into it and apply to your face. Either way works great and you’ll get flawless results each time. You can bound this gently onto your face for application or swipe it on. Whichever methods you use you’ll end up with beautiful, flawless coverage! The only area you may struggle with is your eyes. I don’t personally apply foundation under my eyes and I favor either my fingers or a smaller brush for concealer application so I’m not bothered by that at all. It’s a little large if you do want to use it in this area.
All in all, another excellent brush from Real Techniques! Real Techniques Bubble Blending Makeup Brush is a keeper. Loves it.
