5 stars out of 5

A few months ago Tower 28 introduced their new line of LipSoftie Hydrating Tinted Lip Treatment Balm ($16) in five shades. I instantly purchased one because, as a fan of Tower 28 ShineOn Lip Jelly Non-Sticky Gloss, which I truly believe is the best lipgloss on the market, I felt I absolutely had to see how they did with a lip balm formula. I’m here to say they did awesome! This formula made my lips shiny, hydrated, and oh-so juicy! I need them to introduce more shades!

Tower 28 Beauty LipSoftie Hydrating Tinted Lip Treatment promises the intense hydration of a lip mask with jojoba oil, shea butter, and lysine for moisture as well as a hint of tint. According to the brand it uses a food-grade, non-artificial flavoring for sensitive lips.

These come in a classic squeeze tube with a rounded applicator for easy application. They’re $16 each and 0.38 oz. Fun fact, their glosses are actually $16 each as well but a lot smaller at 0.13 oz. You’re getting considerably more product with this purchase!

This formula is thick, creamy, yet also, runny and thins out as you apply it. It has a soft, melty consistency that acts more as a lipgloss than a lip balm. It feels beautiful on my dry lips and provides lightweight moisture, a ton of shine, and a hint of color that makes my lips look soft, glossy, full, plush, and plumped up! I got the shade Dulce De Leche and it’s the perfect sheer nude that didn’t make me look like I had zombie lips! The formula does wear a shorter time at around an 90 or so minutes before you need a touch up but during that time my lips felt pleasantly hydrated and quite soft well after the product wore away! The formula is super comfortable to wear without being sticky, balmy, or tacky!

I’m not sure what they mean about “non-artificial” food grade flavor as I thought the flavor was a bit weird. It tastes like cardboard to me. I do wish it tasted a bit better but the flavor wears off quickly!

Tower 28 Beauty LipSoftie Hydrating Tinted Lip Treatment Balm gets a big Muse Approval from me. I just wish they had the formula available in a few more shades! Anyone try it? Do share your thoughts!

I got the Ube Vanilla (darkest shade) a few months ago and I like it! It reminds me a bit of Clinique’s Black Honey. Mine smells/tastes good so maybe it’s just the one you got that is like cardboard (?).

It’s so weird. Mine tastes bizarre! Good to know it isn’t all of them!

I got that one too and my experience was the same. I also have the Dulce De Leche but I haven’t tried it yet. Now I have to get it out and see what I think- I LOVE the Ube Vanilla though.
