Annoying and Anxiety Inducing Black Friday and Cyber Monday Moments

Ok, spill it! What annoyed you about Black Friday and Cyber Monday? I’m still on vacation but I was still looking at the sales, shopping for gifts, and just generally checking emails to see what deals popped. I know we already spoke about the convenient thing about Black Friday and Cyber Monday but did you experience any annoying moments? Or any that made you anxious?

I have to say the shipping thresholds were a little high this year. I saw $70-$75 for shipping on certain brands and I was so not about it because I’m that girl that will spend $50 on lipstick but try to charge me 95 cents to ship it and I’ll just desert my cart and look elsewhere. We are BEYOND spoiled when it comes to free shipping or at least I am. Some brands like Tarte will totally ship you a five dollar order completely free but others have a higher threshold. I’m noticing some brands that previously offered free shipping now do so when you spend $50. It was def a little bit of a little bit of a different experience this year when it came to plotting your order just right so you got in on free shipping. That’s not say many brands still provide free shipping but I did notice a few who had higher thresholds which proved annoying if I only wanted one item that rang up to like $49.99.

The other thing was the anxiety these sales gave me. Oh my gosh! The endless emails! Plus the ones that were like, “LAST CHANCE! TODAY IS THE LAST DAY” Yet it wasn’t the last day at all and the sale was going on several days after that LAST CHANCE email. Victoria Beckham, love ya babe, but you’re guilty of this. I got hundreds of emails from Victoria Beckham Beauty telling me 20% was the LAST FINAL DAY but that 20% is still hanging on strong at the moment. You can easily get that odd sense of FOMO because of these emails! A few brands I unsubscribed too because of this!
