Truly Coco Cloud Eau de Parfum Review

Truly Beauty Coco Cloud Eau de Parfum ($48 on sale for $36 plus add code 186296 to get an extra $3.50 off) is a new creamy coconut and rich warm vanilla perfume inspired by Truly’s best-selling Coco Cloud shaving line. I purchased this a few weeks ago when it launched at Ulta. Ulta had a 20% off non-prestige coupon so I snagged it at a discount because really, $48 at 1.7 oz is a lot. Lucky enough all of the Truly Beauty Collection is on sale at the moment if you want to indulge in Coco Cloud EDP or if you want to grab some of their bath and body goodies. The discount will bring the price down to $36 which is still a bit high…! 1.7 oz, at this wear time, mmmm, I wanna pay about $25-$30. If you use the code 186296 at checkout it’ll take off an extra $3.50 which does make the price a bit better for sure.
That being said, I have some weird soft spot for Truly Beauty in my cold dead heart, and even though a lot of their stuff gets a bad wrap I still actually really like most of it. It’s a toxic romance I have with this brand.
Coco Cloud Eau de Parfum is the second fragrance that Truly Beauty launched the first is Unicorn Fruit. This comes in an aqua-colored square bottle with a plastic cap (guys, we’re paying $48 for this can we get a better cap? Mine broke because I dropped it).
I actually love this scent but not everyone will. It has notes of Coconut, Vanilla, and White Tea and is described as a warm floral. It didn’t quite smell like the Truly Coco Cloud Shaving Cream . It’s warm, it’s tropical, it’s coconutt-y, it’s vanilla, and it’s play-doh. Yes, play-doh! And yeah, that sort of weird clay note works. It’s sort of coconut vanilla with this odd play-doh note that gives it a warm creaminess! I like it. It’s a bit addicting to smell! Actually, I like it a lot. It smells like Summer in a playful yet weird way. It’s not a traditional coconut scent and that odd little back note makes me think of Lush Snow Cake. And no, it isn’t a dupe for Snow Cake but there’s something similarly creamy about this scent that makes me think of Snowcake! I can see myself wearing this a lot come Summer.
Sadly, the throw isn’t there nor is the wear. I really have to spray myself down with it to get a good throw because it does wear close to the skin and that wear is pretty short at around two hours before my body chemistry eats it up. I carry it in my purse for touchups (and hey, it’s small enough to do so).
Do I love it? Oddly yes. But I’m only giving it a three-star rating because the price just isn’t it nor is the wear time!
Truly Coco Cloud Eau de Parfum is available now! I know some of you grabbed it last sale! Tell me whatcha think of it!
