Oui the People at Sephora Starting August 22nd

Back in 2022 Sephora announced seven brands would appear in their Accelerate brand incubator program. This program focuses on startup founders of color and as part of the six-month program, participants will receive mentorship, merchandising support, grants, investor introductions and the opportunity to sell their products in Sephora and Oui the People is one of the first brands I’m seeing graduating to actually appear at Sephora.
Yay!
The brand is not new by any means. They’ve been around and creating clean beauty since 2017. Their foundation, Karen Young, is very hands on with her customer base! Her entire line will be available on sephora.com when it officially launches later this month!
One of the stars of their collection is their Skin Razor that’s a single blade weighted razor to prevent ingrown hairs. The stainless steel razor custom-engineered for a closer, smoother shave that lasts longer–without irritation or ingrown hairs. It’s $85 and comes with ten blades. I own the Rose Gold version and it’s expensive (I used a coupon they send when signing up for emails which got me a bit of a discount when I purchased it over a year ago!) but worth it as it’s given me one of the closest shaves of my life. It never clogs, you need no pressure at all to shave, and last longer than using my regular razor. I actually had absolutely no idea how to load it when I got it but lucky enough my boyfriend uses a Muhle Razor and the concept is the same and he taught me how to change the blades.
I’m pretty happy to see them launching at Sephora as it’ll be nice to stock up on their products during the Sephora Savings Event! Oui the People joins the Sephora family soon! Do you think you want to explore this brand?
