NARS Orgasm Edge Is a Shimmer-Free Orgasm Version

It’s been 25 years and NARS Orgasm Blush is still as popular as every! This golden peach pink blush is my gateway drug into the world of peach blushes! It’s what made me a lover of peach and coral blushes and to this very day remains on top of my favorites list. NARS Orgasm is a cash cow and NARS has taken full advantage of the fact that they sell a compact of this every 20 seconds by introducing the shade in any number of different products. We’ve had Orgasm Nail Polish, Orgasm Lip Balm, Orgasm Lipgloss, Orgasm Eyesahdow Palettes, the list goes on and on and on…! And let’s not forget the shade variations of Orgasm like Orgasm X, Orgasm Rush, and others!

But we never had one thing in the Orgasm world. Any guesses what I’m talking about? If you said a shimmer-free version of Orgasm you guessed wisely! As much as everyone loves Orgasm Blush there are any number of others that hate it and feel the shade is too shimmery! Those people have wished, waited, and wanted a shimmer-free for over twenty years now but it never came! Until now…! NARS just recently introduced a new Talc-Free Blush and a lot of your old fav shades might be gone from this launch and I fear they won’t be returning (I believe this new version will replace their current blush collection). But we’re also getting new shades and Orgasm Edge is one of those shades! This is the peachy pink shade we all know and love sans the shimmer of the original. We will love it? Will it dry and patchy too apply? These are the questions currently keeping me up at night! I prefer radiant or shimmer blushes myself but I don’t have larger pores or heavily textured skin and shimmer works great for me. But I do realize if you have acne scarring or larger pores shimmer blushes aren’t always your bestie and a smoother finish comes in the form of a matte blush. Also, some people just aren’t down with shimmer in their blush and I totally get that. I think it’s great NARS finally addressed it and introduced Orgasm Edge!

Will I try it? Absolutely. I’m not only curious how the Talc-Free formula will be but I just want to see how this color looks on my cheeks without the shimmer! Plus it’ll make things a lot easier if I want to pair up with my favorite highlighter as I don’t have to worry about it competing with the glow and shimmer in my blush!

NARS Orgasm Edge is $34 and available now. Are you excited about a shimmer-free NARS Orgasm?

I need this! Do you know if NARS will have a better sale than Sephora I am only an insider.

You might need to be patient if you want a NARS sale only because they do have good sales but the newer items tend to be excluded from those sales. So it may be about six months or so before they actually allow a discount on the blushes. If you can hold out for Mother’s Day sales I’m sure nars will have one (probably 25% off ) but I’m not sure of the blushes will be included 🙂

I am too! I’m not sure I’ll like Orgasm without shimmer but I’m prepared to try!

Yes! This new blush is something I have to try. As I’ve gotten older shimmer in my blush is usually no longer my friend. I find shimmer can emphasize my dry skin and texture. But, I have to add I love the peachy pink. She will be coming home with me.

I’m looking forward to trying it too! I still use shimmer blush a lot but def settles if my skin is deciding to have a freakish dry flare up!
