Tarte Maracuja Juicy Plumping Lip Oil has arrived for Summer 2024 in 23 shades and it brings a rather interest applicator to the table. What is Tarte Maracuja Juicy Plumping Lip Oil? It’s Tarte’s latest lipgloss slash lip oil that promises to plump lips as it moisturizes with over 15 different oils which act to condition, smooth, hydrate, plump, and add shine and color to lips. The vegan and cruelty-free formula is paced with a slew of oils like apricot, sunflower, papaya, watermelon, coconut, flaxseed, plump, grapeseed, castor, and more! Sounds like our lips are going to be juicy this Summer.

I hate on Tarte for a lot of things but never on their launch of anything new in the Maracuja lip world. They give good lip and even I can’t be a Debbie Downer about the fact that the Maracuja Juicy Lip Collection is a solid offering from them. When it comes to eyeshadow palettes they aren’t exactly living in the world of innovation but I don’t think people can deny that their lip launches are excellent plus they seem to be really trying lately when it comes to introducing things I’m interested in trying like the new Shape Tape Glow Blush Bars!

This is the first time they are venturing into the world of lip oils and we’ve seen plenty of those lately haven’t we (Oh wait, I stand corrected there is the wonderful Sugar Rush Lip Oil!)? I’m still convinced iNNBEAUTY makes the best lip oils but maybe Maracuja Juicy Plumping Lip Oil will change my mind! I will say that lip oil is one of the most viral and popular products with Zoomers. I remember one of the first brands to actually do a lip oil was Milani. They introduced Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment back in 2016 and I recall not being terribly impressed with it but since that time lip oils have just become a super popular item with brands releasing a round of different formulas almost every season! But for Tarte, this is their first trip into the world of lip oils and it looks like it’ll be a good one.

Their one major issue that may be a problem for certain users is the applicator they are using for these new lip oils. They went with a puff applicator which some people find a bit unhygienic and gross. It’s basically the same puff certain brands used to use for concealers. Think our old friend Maybellline Instant Age Rewinder Concealer or products like the old Visee CC Concealer! It’s not a application we normally see for lipglosses.

The launch includes both shimmer and shimmer-free shades which as we know isn’t how things went down with the original Maracuja Juicy Lip launch as the Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump Shimmer Glass came much later! These are $26 each which is the same price as Maracujua Juicy Lip Sticks but I’m not sure if they are the same size. Will I try them? Absolutely. As I said Tarte rarely disappointed with their lip launches lately and these sound good!

You can snag Tarte Maracuja Juicy Plumping Lip Oil now on the brand’s website and they should be launching soon everywhere else.

While I don’t love the applicator I love the colours. Shimmering Maple and Desert Rose need to get in my cart!

I’m on the fence with the applicator but they look really good!

I will definitely try these. You are so right about Tarte! But their lip products are sooo good.

Maybe the applicator will turn out to be less messy! Some are fine (Clarins has a great one and not gunky at all) but NYX duck plump is one of the worst. I LOVE the formula and how it looks and lasts but I cringe every time I pull the applicator out and the product just plops out. And all of the lip oils are spongy doe foot anyway. I guess we will see. Looking forward to trying these!

Tarte can be repetitive as hell with their eyeshadow shades but they do lip products well! YES! Maybe! It seems easy to wipe off too! I don’t like the NYX Lip Oil applicator at all 🙁 for some reason it doesn’t saturate well at all with the product and it results on crummy application 🙁
