Urban Decay Face Bond Long-Lasting Powder Blush Suede ($24) are coming for the Spring 2025 season! This new long-lasting blush promises suede-soft texture and a blurred, matte finish. Their claim to fame is the formula is sweat and waterproof. And guess what? I’m not $24 for these thanks but no thanks. The new Urban Decay Face Bond Luminizer Waterproof Liquid Highlighter which launched, what, last week? was on sale already at ulta.com for 20% off!

But that’s not even my beef with Urban Decay! It’s the fact they are serving these up in the most basic of basic plastic packaging and they want me to drop $24 bucks on them. I won’t do it sorry. I never thought blush was one of Urban Decay’s strongest formulas anyway plus the fact these are completely matte has me eh on them. I WISH someone, anyone would release some pretty glowy blushes. I can do without flat matte blushes. Urban Decay says they’re micro-milled to give them that soft-suede-like texture. Sounds like they’re going for a Color Fuse Talc-Free Blush Powder but Urban Decay’s formula has the talc or at least that’s what it says on Sephora’s site under the ingredients. Weren’t we trying to get away from talc the last few months? I mean, NARS created an entirely new Talc-Free Powder Blush last year and discontinued their entire blush range to do so. Personally, I don’t mind! Add the talc! I like it! But surprised UD didn’t jump on that talc-free bandwagon everyone else is on.

As with most releases lately we’re getting a very small range of colors which means they won’t stick around long. There are seven total…! I never thought I’d say it but I do miss variety. I don’t want to be overwhelmed with like fifty shades but I’d like more than seven ya know? The shades are all pretty bold and feel a little unwearable to me. Bright oranges, bright pinks, lilacs, you know stuff that makes you feel like a clown if you’re heavy-handed.

Shades:

  • Sunset + Vine (deep tangerine)
  • Touch Me (vivid lilac)
  • Wholehearted (baby pink)
  • Slow Burn (warm coral)
  • Problematic (burn orange red)
  • Backtalk (mauve nude pink)
  • Fleshed Out (nude apricot)

Urban Decay Face Bond Long-Lasting Powder Blush Suede might be appealing to some but this girl just isn’t up to spend that much on these when she knows Urban Decay will drop the price on them to $10 bucks or something in a few short months.

Urban Decay Face Bond Long-Lasting Powder Blush Suede will be available shortly! Are you snagging them?

Years ago I would jump on any Urban Decay release. I still love a few of their main products (eyeliners and shadow primers)…but I have not been excited by any of their releases in years. And these just look meh . I did love the afterglow blushes they discontinued. Their blush game has been weak ever since.
