Trader Joe’s 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar Review
Trader Joe’s 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar is a new curated beauty collection featuring some new and old Trader Joe’s beauty and skincare picks to count the days down until Christmas. I picked this up last night because I needed Chocolate Lava Gnocchi in my life and was convinced they’d sell out and I’d never try them and I’d feel unfilled for the rest of my life having never eaten a Chocolate Lava filled Gnocchi. When I got them home I was less inclined to cook them. What does one do with Chocolate Lava Gnocchi? Do you toss it with a bit of garlic, olive oil, broccoli rabe, and hot sausage? Only kidding! They are actually meant to be eaten with ice cream or whipped cream! I was feeling daring enough to attempt making them last night without burning the house down so right now they are sitting in my freezer awaiting consumption.
I was most excited about my haul of Trader Joe’s 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar though if I’m honesty, even more excited than stocking up on Turkey and Stuffing Chips (mmm my favorite!). When I got home that night and I sat down at the kitchen table to eat Jingle Jangle Ice Cream (because we had to settle on ice cream since the real thing isn’t available until November 18! Damn you Trader Joe damn you to tell with your seasonal limited edition bs!) with my boyfriend and I told him how excited the girl at check out was about the calendar. To which he said, “As excited as you!” all dead pan and sarcastic-like smirking behind his glasses. Yeah, yeah sure sure make fun of the beauty junkie! Bless his little soul for listening to my beauty and makeup stories.
Anyway, she asked me if there was a calendar open by the display and I said yes, there was a basket filled with the contents of the calendar (I guess to prevent evil beings from opening the calendars for themselves to see what was inside). She proceeded to tell me that during her break she’d have to head over for a peek because she wasn’t there when they opened it. That’s when I had a visual Trader Joe employees sitting in the middle of the store around a bonfire singing Kumbaya and passing around the 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar to ooo and ahhh over. Because really, that kind of sort feels like something Trader Joe employees would do right?
