I tend to avoid silicone in my hair care when possible but sometimes my hair just craves it. It craves the moisture it provides and it craves the weight as silicone seems to weight my hair down and prevents frizz. I avoid it because it does caught major buildup and sometimes breakage. I also do like how much lighter and cleaner my hair feels without it.

But like I said sometimes my hair craves it and some of my picks in this post do contain silicone! That being said, when I am in the mood for silicone the drugstore hair care world has plenty of ’em!

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Makeup Primer+ ($39) is a new hydrating gel primer that promises to moisturize skin all day while “gripping” makeup so it wears long and strong. This is my dream facial primer! It’s so so hydrating! As someone with drier skin it is absolute perfection!

It has a few minor issues!
