Anyone need new makeup brushes? Around this time of the year, when the Holiday Collections starting arriving, I always feel like I need new brushes. I really don’t. I have enough brushes to do makeup on 500 faces but of course, the gift sets roll in and I’m like, “Oh my god I need those brushes!” Also, it doesn’t help that right now the Ulta Fall Haul Sale is happening and of course, they have brushes on sale! As for me, I’m going to refrain from buying new ones but if you do need some new brushes I highly recommend shopping now for these great deals!

Drunk Elephant The Trunk 8.0 has dropped! What is the The Trunk 8.0? Well, it’s the 8th (can you believe we’ve had eight of these?) variation of Drunk Elephant’s traditional mega skincare gif set for Holiday 2024. I gotta admit my favorite edition of the Trunk was 3.0 because it all came packaged in a cute Mini Fridge plus back then (2021) it was only $450 now it’s a whooping $595. Not to mention it was $460 last year and went up $135 this year. Dude…! That price keeps creeping up doesn’t it? Speaking of mini fridges..! Last year, Tula dropped the Best Sellers 10-Piece Limited-Edition Vault with a mini fridge! I wonder if they’ll do one again?

But I digress, back to the Trunk! I’d normally recommend purchasing this around the Sephora Holiday Savings Event BUT even if you have a 20% Rouge Discount it can be pretty expensive. But the other thing is, it actually doesn’t sell out as fast as it once did! I remember when this would disappear from shelves fast but now it sort of sticks around and at this price, even on sale, it’ll probably be there for a while! Well, unless the ten year old grab it up!

Without counting the deluxe sizes and smaller sample packets you’re looking at $602 worth of products which isn’t a terribly great value overall. I mean, unless you’re counting the suitcase and really, I can just go and buy a cuter suitcase at TJ’s or Marshall’s. I’d rather just buy these items individually as I can pick and choose the ones I want as I know I’ll never use the bronzing or highlighting drops anyway! The whole point of a Holiday Gift Set is to save money and this isn’t saving you any money!

Happy Tuesday! Guess what launches tomorrow? Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa ’71 Body Cream! At 12AM EST the body cream we’ve been begging for will finally be available for a limited time. Although, I will throw it out there and say limited-edition is a rather loose term when it comes to Sol de Janeiro. We thought After Hours was limited-edition and it came back as Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’76. We thought Tan Lines was a limited-edition but it returned permanently as Rio Radiance. I’m just over here keeping hope alive that the limited-edition status of Cheirosa ’71 Body Creams isn’t really limited-edition as I love this scent and I’ve been waiting years for them to do a body cream! That being said, Cheirosa ’71 was a hand cream for a very limited time which makes me think this may be a one and done! I sure hope not! I love the original Cheirosa but ’71 is def my second fav (damn, I may be controversial and say it’s my number 1). It’s a warm gooey vanilla nutty caramel scent perfect for Fall! It’s a perfect gourmand for Fall!

Cheirosa 71 notes include:
Top: Caramelized Vanilla, Sea Salt
Mid: Toasted Macadamia Nut, White Chocolate
Dry: Tonka Bean, Coconut Blossom

The body cream will be available for $48 in an 8 oz jar. I have no info if they’ll do anything larger or smaller than 8 oz but I think perhaps they might be going with the one size only sadly. Also, I’m not in love with the fact it was a delicate golden shimmer. I’d have liked if it was just a regular old shimmer-free body cream! But I’ll take what I can get because as I said above I’ve been waiting for them to do this for years. I wonder what took so long?! It’s so odd most of their fragrances have a matching body cream but ’71 just never got one! But hey, we’re getting one now and I’m totally setting my alarm as I’m concerned I’ll blink and this will be gone!
