I Guess We Better Get the Summer Fridays Holiday Sets Before the Ten Years Old Do

Well, I guess we better haul the Summer Fridays The Mini Neutrals Lip Butter Balm Set and The Lip Butter Balm Set that launched for Holiday 2024 before the ten year olds do. Seriously, for some reason, the tweens love Summer Fridays as much as Drunk Elephant.

In all seriousness, one of the biggest trends in the makeup world when it comes to Zoomers is lip balms and lip oils. Oddly, I’m surprised by that but when you really think about it I shouldn’t be. Why? Because let’s all sit back for a second and remember that our gateway drug into the world of makeup was likely a flavored Chapstick or Bonne Bell Dr Pepper Lip Smacker (Didn’t everyone own that damn shade? It pre-dated Clinique Black Honey!). I’ve told you before but in case you’re new around here I truly believe my love of makeup began when I ate my father’s Cherry Chapstick when I was a child. Yes, like bit a chunk off and ate it. As I recall it tasted good.

But in all seriousness, with all the variety of makeup out there, I do find it odd that Zoomers are really, really into lip balms and lip oils. We didn’t have that kind of variety growing up so Maybelline Kissing Coolers was like a Tarte 100 Shade Eyeshadow Palette back in the day! But I guess sometimes never change and Zoomers are just discovering the joys of makeup and tiny little lip products are what are getting them into it.

Mini Holiday Makeup and Beauty Gift Sets You Can Buy Now Without Feeling Guilty

It’s Friday and I’m of the mentality Fridays are for treating your self to something special. You worked hard this week and deserve a nice dinner, a night out, a little romantic stroll down the Target Halloween aisle, or maybe a little makeup and beauty treat. I’m not one for cake slices from the supermarket as normally they look amazing but are either too rich, too sweet, or stale. You know who’s guilty of this? Walmart (and Whole Foods but that’s a story for another day)! They always have these rich elaborate cake slices and dessert cups on display but they always taste horrible! I never bothered grabbing a slice at Wegman’s because I’m always disappointed with slices of anything at the supermarket. But man, this was good. Not too sweet, creamy frosting, and soft, moist cake. Delicious!

I also, treated myself to some beauty! I got the Tower 28 Beauty Mini Lil Softies Tinted Lip Treatment Set which is $20 bucks so, not breaking my bank with this one! Plus I love this formula so much! It comes with four mini LipSoftie Tinted Lip Treatments including a new shade and flavor exclusive to this kit which is Sugar Plum! It’s a sheer mauve. My favorite shade is in here as well, Dulce de Leche (I’m wearing it below) as well as Ube Vanilla (sheer burgundy) and Watermelon Kiwi (sheer pink). I figured before the 10 years old at Sephora buy this and it goes out of stock I better grab it!
