E.L.F. Poreless Putty Primer Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
5 stars out of 5

E.L.F. Poreless Putty Primer ($8) is a new solid facial primer being hauled as Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer which actually didn’t have me excited. Why? Because I’m one of the few people that really didn’t like Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer.

I understand the excitement though considering Tatcha’s version is $52 and E.L.F’s is $8 (and a smidge bigger too by the way). I mean if you love Tatcha’s formula why wouldn’t you want an $8 version to save yourself some major cash not to mention if you simply can’t afford $52 bucks or can’t see yourself spending that much on a primer why wouldn’t you want a budget option?

Makeup dupes are fairly common in the beauty world and E.L.F.’s always been on point creating cheaper version of the hottest and newest makeup releases. Although, at the moment it’s a controversial topic and many brands are snapping back at brands that aren’t creating dupes so much anymore but out and out copies of products.

Anyway, off the topic of makeup dupes I’m sure you’ll want to know how I felt about Poreless Putty Primer.

My review is below.

If They Made a Styling Barbie Head In Your Likeness What Makeup Would You Want It To Come With?

Over the years there have been a variety of different super-size Barbie’s heads that Mattel has introduced and had me lusting after a child. What wasn’t to love about a big old Barbie head that came with a bunch of makeup and hair accessories? You could style her hair (or completely cut it off! That did happen once!) anyway you wanted and apply heavy blush to the apples of her cheeks without remorse or guilt. It was a total win situation. I do blame Styling Barbie for my own heavy handed makeup mishaps though! I think my devil may care attitude of applying heavy purple eyeshadow and ten or more layers of apple red blush to her cheeks at age eight was what acted to develop my own makeup application and skills. I’ve been known to go around with clown cheeks on more than one occasional I’m comfortable to admitting.

What if Mattel called you tomorrow and said they wanted to create one of those Barbie head’s in your likeness? What sort of makeup would you want it to come with?

E.L.F. 16HR Camo Concealer Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
1 stars out of 5

I’m going to the bad guy and give E.L.F. 16HR Camo Concealer a bad review. Go ahead, throw tomatoes at me, boo me, hiss at me, I’m going to try to take it without sobbing 🙂

E.L.F. 16HR Camo Concealer is currently be hauled across youTube as a Tarte Shape Tape dupe. It’s a highly pigmented concealer available in 18 shade selections that will set you back a mere $5 bucks each. Impressive right? Five bucks for a Shape Tape Concealer dupe? Sign me up!

It promises full-coverage in a long-wearing formula that has a creamy formula which can be used to conceal imperfections such as dark circles. I admit I was pretty excited about this even though my past experiences with E.L.F. Concealers hasn’t be great. I have tired, puffy eyes and I really rely on my concealer to brighten them up and conceal my puffiness! Typically, I’m all about pigmented, full-coverage concealers even though I like my foundation formulas lighter and sheerer.

This seemed like a great pick up and the price was brilliant.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
2 stars out of 5

Pixi Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover ($24) is a new bi-phase makeup remover that promises to remove makeup even waterproof mascara. Pixi went all out for Spring 2019 and added a ton of new, permanent products to their Skintreats Skincare Collection.

Since Pixi has 20% off on their site with promo code OLOGY20 I decided to order a few of their newest launches to try out. It was actually too tempting not to get everything but I did refrain! I didn’t get any of the new Vit C stuff but that’s next on my list to try.

I’ve been using Pixi Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover since I got it last week because Pixi’s shipping is stupid it fast! I ordered on the 17th and I got it on the 18th! Talk about fast free shipping! Me likey!

I Need To Steal The Eyeshadow That Sophie Turner Has On Her Eyes

Yahoo posted a recent phot of Sophie Turner at New York Comic Con where she’s wearing this rusty matte eyeshadow all over her eyes! I must have it! What is it? I probably wouldn’t bring it up as high as her makeup artist did as I’d look rather dumb with a shade like that all over my lid and well past my crease but I do so love the looks of the shade and can def make it work with my brown eyes.

A few picks that come to mind would be all some of the delightful shades in the Maybelline the Matte Bar Eyeshadow Palette. I just purchased a backup of this palette when I was at Harmons a few days ago! I sincerely do not want to be without it. It has such great shades and for some reason I’m liking it way more than Urban Decay’s Naked Petite Heat!

Next up, maybe a little Holika Holika Piece Matching Shadow Matte? These are not only super cheap but they have so many great dune and rusty shades that accent my brown eyes beautifully!

But still the mystery is what’s on Sophie’s eyes and how can we get the look?

And must important will she take the Iron Throne?

I sure hell hope not because I’m Team Jon Snow.

Although, my theory is everyone dies and Westeros is put into a perpetual state of Winter. See? Global warming is a real thing!
