Yes to Coconut Coconut Oil Cleansing Balm Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Yes to Coconut Cleansing Balm is a new coconut oil infused cleansing balm created for dry skin to remove makeup, dirt, and oil while leaving skin hydrated and smooth. Yes to Coconut Coconut Oil Cleansing Balm is actually one of two new cleansing balms that the brand released but prior to that they have done a balm-like cleanser that I didn’t really loved called Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser. I know many people really loved that formula but I wasn’t terribly into it.

I did have some reservations about the cleansing balm as well prior to purchasing it as I was concerned it wouldn’t be eye safe (as many Yes To products come with a warning to not use them near eyes) and also, I was worried about the formula which I was concerned wouldn’t break down and emulsify. Cleansing balms were created to start out life as a balm but breakdown into an oil as you massaged them on and completely emulsify and turn milky once water was applied while rinsing clean away. Sadly, there have been formulas I’ve tried that didn’t quite do this like Nooni Snowflake Cleanser Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm, NYX Cleansing Balm, and Equate Wipe the Day Away Cleansing Balm just to name a few. I came to this conclusion simply because Yes To includes a sponge to remove the balm. Why would we need a sponge of the formula emulsifies? Would it be formulated more along the lines of products like Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm or Lush Ultrabland where you have to apply it and wipe it off with a wet sponge or cloth? This isn’t a bad thing by any means but I do find emulsifying balms are easier to use.

Another concern I had was coconut oil which I seem to be allergic to in certain formulas. There have been times I used coconut oil skincare without an issue and other times it’s made me itchy beyond belief. So, this was also a major concern of mine.

Let’s see how things went down.

Is Too Faced Creating a New Perfume? I’d Buy It!

It looks like Too Faced may be creating some sort of new perfume or fragrance. Jerrod was on Instagram showing two different bottles one of which had a little beach emoji and the other a peach one. They looked like some sort of fragrance samples and the beauty and makeup world is currently speculating if they have a new perfume coming down the line for Summer 2018 or Fall 2018.

Too Faced has been severely disappointing lately as we have all established time and time again but if they introduce a peach scented perfume I an honestly say I’d buy it.

Bare Minerals Has a New Concealer for Spring 2018

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Bare Minerals barePRO 16-HR Full Coverage Concealer ($24) is the brand’s latest concealer stick that promises 16 hours of full coverage with a creamy formula enriched with a host of oils such as raspberry and blackcurrant.

As you know I’m a fan of Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer which has a lightly creamy texture that glides under my drier eyes easily and blends out flawlessly. If barePRO 16-HR Full Coverage Concealer is as hydrating and as easy to apply I’ll be in my absolute glory.

I do approach all concealers very cautiously lately as many promise the world but few deliver.
