Last Summer, I told you that Missha would be sold at Harmons, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and Face Value. Unfortunately, nothing came of that news and many months went by without a peep of Missha anywhere in my local Harmon stores. Fast forward to nearly two years later and I came across Missha Geum Skincare Collection on shelves at Harmons! I can’t express how exciting it was to see such a well known Korean makeup and skincare brand at Harmons. Korean and Asian makeup, beauty, and skincare is slowly infiltrating our markets here in the US but this is the first time ever that it has been at a local drugstore!

Possibly the most exciting part is the fact you can use 20% off coupons to get Missha products at Harmons or Bed, Bath, and Beyond! But, on that note, I will say that Missha’s official website is the better option of the two for sales and discounts as even with 20% off you can still get better bargains when Missha is running their own sales and also their reward’s program can’t be beat.

But I do love the idea of having it so readily available in a store. No waiting for shipping! Yay!

Tony Moly, Too Cool for School, Goodal, Skinfood, and many other Korean brands are becoming steadily available at stores like Ulta and Sephora. This is such a wonderful time to be involved in the beauty world! I’ve been blogging Korean and Japanese makeup and beauty since 2007 and feel like things are finally coming full circle here in the US. I eagerly await stores to begin open here on our shores (we already have a Skin Food store!).

Have you seen Missha at your local Harmons or Bed, Bath, and Beyond?

L’Oreal Hydra Genius for Dry Skin

loreal-hydra-genius-for-dry-skin

L’Oreal Hydra Genius Skincare is arriving at drugstores soon for the Spring 2017 season and just in time for the cold weather ahead. I don’t have much information about this launch but Walgreens has some place holders for the line. Apparently the collection will feature moisturizers and serums that are customized by skin type one of which is for extra dry skin (hi, that’s me!). There’s going to be a water balm moisturizing which I found highly interesting as this is testimony how heavily the Korean and Asian skincare world has inspired out currently offerings at the drugstore.

L’Oreal is legendary for over fragrancing their products to death but they do have some very fine, solid skincare options available. I can’t believe I’m saying this as I don’t mind fragrance but if they’d lighten up on the fragrance a little they would likely gain a bigger fan base for their skincare.

None the less, scent or not, I will be seeking out and trying the new Hydra Genius Skincare Collection. I imagine the moisturizers will be similar to L’Oreal’s sister brand offering from Garnier, Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream! But let’s hope they leave out the alcohol.

What do you think of this new L’Oreal Skincare Collection?

Think you’ll try it?

Do share!
