So, now that you’ve tried Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette is it a yay or is it a nay? At this point, you’ve heard everyone and their mother tell you about the buttery smooth pigmentation, the hot, sizzling shades, the incredible looks you can create using it.

I’m not only a beauty blogger, I’m also a beauty blogger reader so, of course I’ve visited all my favorite blogs to hear what they had to say about the palette. But I tend to like to form my own opinions on a product. So, yeah, sometimes a review might sway me to just say no but in most cases I’ll read something bad and I’ll still want to try a product out for myself yanno? Maybe you’re like that too! Maybe you read a few opinions about Urban Decay Naked Heat that weren’t positive and you decided, “To hell with it! I still want to buy it!”

I know my own review wasn’t entirely favorable. I think the texture and consistency of the shadows was great, the formula was excellent, but I did hate the fact that I felt compelled to use another palette to complete my look. There aren’t a lot of lighter, transitional shades in the palette and it made it hard to get a complete look from it without using other shades from other palettes. That’s of course my own opinion! You might have felt completely different about it.

So, that’s why we have this post.

I figure if I’m going to use a highlighter it needs to be with easy to apply formula. It’s old news by now but for those who didn’t know, NARS is no longer cruelty-free. NARS has made the decision to move into the Chinese market which could prove a huge sales margin for the brand but in doing so they unfortunately have to abide by Chinese laws about ingredient safety and animal testing laws.

NARS released a statement on their Instagram account stating they are fighting against animal testing and hope to globally eliminate as they believe in product safely proven by non-animal testing methods. According to the brand they continue to not test on animals however, there’s a big BUT here, as the brand states “NARS does not test on animals or ask others to do so on our behalf, EXCEPT where required by law.” And considering China’s strict laws on cosmetic and beauty testing that would mean the brand is forced to do so.

They are apparently working to change that testing method and whether or not they will be successful remains to be seen but as of now NARS is no longer a cruel-free makeup brand sadly.

E.L.F. Hydrating Gel Mist, E.L.F. Matte Liquid Lipstick, there are so many new E.L.F. goodies I’m not sure which to try first! One thing is for sure, that new E.L.F. Bath & Body Works Shower Jelly arrive this Summer in a variety of delicious scents so, if you’re a big Lush Shower Jelly fan this might come as happy news for you! Notice that Bath & Body Works is doing a lot of Lush-like things lately like the introduction of Bath Fizzies and now Shower Jelly too? Can we expect solid Shampoo Bars in the near future?

I don’t how long shower jellies are sticking around the Bath & Body Works scene. It could be a one hit wonder for Summer but as of now they are very much available in 5 fragrance selections.

What are they? Well, if you’ve never used a shower jelly before here’s the low down and my opinion of them too! Because you can’t get out of reading this without me sharing my rant on shower jelly!
