I recently tried out the Shea Butter Hydrating Mud Mask and wasn’t particularly impressed. I really enjoy Shea Moisture hair care but so far their skincare line hasn’t been terribly impressive.
I noticed that mud masks are becoming increasing popular lately so, no wonder there’s a new Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask Argan Hydrating and Detoxifying Treatment ($48).
Josie’s new mask was created with all skin types in mind and of course, it contains Argan Oil! Apparently it’s a clay mask that was created to hydrate and detox skin with a combination of argan oil whipped with Moroccan rhassoul clay. The combination of the two ingredients nourish, clarifies, firms, and refines skin.
The post degunks your pores as it hydrates while mildly exfoliating plus it’s unscented formula so, those sensitive of fragrance in their skincare need not worry!
I’m always a little wary of mud masks as they promise hydration but tend to dry my skin out.
But count me curious about Josie’s formula! Perhaps the addition of argan oil will be a plus!
