As a Trekkie I think I had a geeky orgasm when I heard about the MAC Star Trek Collection. Shut the hell up! MAC and Star Trek? Together? It’s true! MAC collaborates with one of sci-fi’s biggest cult classics for a new makeup collection launching September 2016.

The MAC Star Trek Collection will include 25, gasp I’m having a hard time breathing, products including MAC Lipsticks, Lipglass, Press Pigment Eyeshadow, and Studio Nail Lacquers.

The Kat Von Shade + Light Eye Contour Quad ($26) is a new eye palette launching in four shade selections that include 4 matte shades of eyeshadow used to contour, define, and highlight eyes.

Each quad includes 3 shades used to defining, contouring, and highlighting eyes as well as one base shade to prep lids. There’s also an illustrated insert that comes with the palette showing you exact color placement.

The idea behind the palettes is to lift, define, and widen eyes

Shades include:

• Sage for brown eyes
• Plum for green eyes
• Rust for blue eyes
• Smoke for all eye colors

Considering the new blush contouring duos were a bust I’m a little scared to try out these new Shade + Light Eye Contour Quads. They do promise a silky formula so let’s hope they aren’t along the lines of the blushing duos because those were pretty bad!

Kat Von D is one of the longest running Sephora in-house brands. Sephora has collaborated with a variety of characters and celebs over the years including Hello Kitty, TokiDoki, and a variety of others but Kat Von D has been around since 2009.

Recently, when Kat Von D launched her own online portal for her makeup line I felt for sure that it would mean she was pulling out of Sephora. But nope, she’s still going strong with new product launches each season.

I heard she’s even reformulating some of her fragrances. I have them all, I really need to pull them out and use them…!
