Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lipsaver Treatment Primer Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lipsaver Treatment Primer1

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lipsaver Treatment Primer ($19) is a new lip primer that helps smooth, condition, and fill lines so lipstick and gloss lasts longer and stays fresher through the day. I always use lip balm to prep my lips but I’m really in love with lip primers like Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil as they set a really smooth canvas for lip color.

Problem?

I feel like there aren’t enough great lip primers on the market. It’s just an area that’s sorely lacking! Everyone is mostly worried about priming their face or their eyes and lips get pushed off to the sidelines.

That’s why I was quite happy when Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lipsaver Treatment Primer launched.

Here’s some thoughts!

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow

I recently Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow ($35) is fluid eyeshadow designed to brighten and awaken eyes with an anti-aging formula that tightens, firms, and gives eyes a smooth, soft finish.

As a fan of Perricone MD No Makeup Makeup (I can’t be without my No Mascara Mascara, No Blush Blush, and No Lipstick Lipstick like evers) I’m unsure how No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow passed me by. I didn’t even know it existed until recently when a reader asked if I ever tried it.

I instantly purchased it because I felt for sure I’d love it since the shade quite reminded me of my favorite Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Sand Dunes, Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow in Beige Mousseline, and Urban Decay Beware Matte Eyeshadow. I really love sandy beiges or lighter tans on my eyes as they not only give me a brightening effect but also that no makeup makeup look for days I just don’t wanna apply a ton of eyeshadow and eye makeup.

I was hoping Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow would be the same.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Wipeout Color-Correcting Palette Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Wipeout Color-Correcting Palette10

The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Wipeout Color-Correcting Palette ($45) is a new color correcting palette that acts as a contouring palette as well. The palette features six color correcting shades, three of which can be used to contour, define, and sculpt with. The palette also includes a color placement card to show you where each shade works best on your face.

Color correcting isn’t new to the makeup world, but it is, right now, currently a trend that’s hitting with many different brands. We’re all seeing a variety of color correcting products to address some different issues, but none is as complete as the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Wipeout Color-Correcting Palette, which addresses all issues in one place. It’s nice having one complete palette that features a variety of shades versus buying a single color correcting product like say Lancome Color Correcting Primer Miracle Cushion or Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid which are available in a few shades but you’d have to buy a shade per an issue where as the Wipeout Color-Correcting Palette has all the shades in one spot, no need to spend more money on different shades.

On that note, I will say that not all the shades in this palette will work for everyone. The problem with palettes like this is they have a one size fits all mentality. We are not all one universal shade and although colors like yellow will work on a variety of skin tones to address dark circles you’ll find that some of the contouring shades in the palette are either too dark or too light.

But let’s take a look and see how this works.
