NARS Kabuki Brush Set

NARS Kabuki Brush Set for Spring 2016 is a rather great value if you’ve had your eye on the Kabuki range.

Givenchy Teint Couture Cushion Portable Fluid Foundation Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Givenchy Teint Couture Cushion Portable Fluid Foundation1

Givenchy Teint Couture Cushion Portable Fluid Foundation ($50) is a new water-based fluid foundation that launched for Spring 2016 in 6 shade selections. I think “cushion” is misused slightly here as people automatically think of more traditional cushions we’ve seen as late such as L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion which is essential a squishy sponge which is saturated with a fluid foundation.

Teint Couture Cushion Portable Fluid Foundation is not that kind of cushion. Instead, this comes in the same chunky compact as a cushion but it has a cooling metal plate which when pressed releases the fluid through the tiny holes embedded in the plate. Apparently the metal plate is cold enough that it makes the fluid cool to the touch which in turn delivers a “fresh sensation” when the formula is applied to the skin. The idea is interesting, but I honestly didn’t notice the cool sensation that was promised.

On that note, I will say love this formula.

Bare Minerals Well-Rested CC Face Primer Launches

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Bare Minerals Well-Rested CC Face Primer

You might be familiar with Well-Rested CC Eye Primer and if so you might be delighted at the introduction of Bare Minerals Well-Rested CC Face Primer which is a selection of three color correcting shades that can be used around the face to correct imperfections.

These new shades have the same cooling, creamy consistency as the CC Eye Primer but are now available in Lavender (combats dullness and brightens), Peach (addresses dark spots and dark circles), and Green (conceals redness) shades.

I really like the original CC Eye Primer but I’m on the fence about the CC Face Primers myself. The color correcting craze is getting a little out of hand lately 🙂

For those interested the new Bare Minerals Well-Rested CC Face Primer are available now at Sephora.com.
