Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil ($42) is a new permanent face oil primer that’s available for Spring 2016. Oh how I loved Make Up For Ever HD Elixir is it possible Photo Finish Primer Oil might replicate it?!

According to Smashbox their new lustrous face oil is quick to absorb and contains a blend of 15 essential oils and lipid-rich plant oils such as chamomile and lavender.

This one acts to sooth as it reduces dry skin. You can mix it with your foundation or apply it prior to give your complexion a youthful dewy glow. Or even use it on split ends, cuticles, and elbows to restore moisture.

It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Foundation Primer is something that’s far to rich for me to use in the day and I feel like perhaps Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil might be too. Don’t get me wrong I’m pretty dry particularly around my cheeks but I don’t use any of my facial oils to prep with as they make me look kinda greasy and shiny. A solid hydrating primer is one thing but an oil, for me, is something completely different.

Count me curious but a little skeptical of the new Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil. I don’t doubt it’ll be a great face oil, I just doubt it’ll work well as a primer for most skin types!

The Pantone 2016 Color of the Year shades have been released and they are gorgeous, soft pastels of Rose Quartz and Serenity! The last few years Pantone’s Color of the Year has been rather louder, bolder colors this year they went very soft with touches of light blue and soft rose.

This is actually the first year Pantone has blended two shades versus launching just one. And they go together oh so very well

Rose Quartz (13-520) and Serenity (15-3919) will likely take Spring 2016 Makeup Collections back into the realms of soft, pretty pastels. And let’s be honest, Spring really is the season for pastels right?

These two shades pair up beautifully to create a soft, soothing appearance.

I sadly look horrible in pastels but I’m oh so curious and eager to see Sephora’s 2016 Pantone Universe Color of the Year Collection in the flesh to see if I can pull off any of these colors!

Ah the Sephora Pantone Color of the Year 2016 No Rules are New Rules Makeup Collection is the new limited edition Sephora Pantone Universe 2016 Color of the Year Collection and news has broken today about this exciting launch!

It’s very exciting to say the least as the Sephora Pantone Collection has been a little quite since the Marsala Collection launched!

The Pantone Color of the Year for 2016 is Serenity (15-3919) and Pantone Rose Quartz (13-1520) and Sephora takes those gorgeous shades and incorporates the duo into classically romantic makeup collection that’s sure to please.
