I’m here to tell you that the Sephora Jem and the Holograms Truly Outrageous Liquid Lip Set ($25) is in no way as disappointing as the Sephora Jem and the Holograms Truly Outrageous Eyeshadow Palette so you can all breath easy again.

The Sephora Jem and the Holograms Truly Outrageous Liquid Lip Set is a limited edition five piece liquid lipstick set that Sephora created in colloboration with the new Jem and the Holograms movie that debuts October 23rd.

I, like most Jem fans, am not really a fan of the Jem movie trailer I’ve seen. Let’s be real here, it looks all kinds of suck hard and apparently is prepped to ruin my childhood in aces. It may just surprise me though and become some cult classic awesomeness like Spice World (remember that train wreck? But I bet when it’s on TV you watch it though am I right?!).

None the less Sephora immediately cashed in on the fandom and created a Jem and the Holograms Makeup Collection and I had no doubts they’d do a great job with it. Sephora does a pretty damn good job on limited edition sets or collaborations they’ve done in the past! I think the Pantone Collection releases are testimony to Sephora’s best work. I just knew that their Jem Collection would be truly outrageous at the risk of sounding corny.

But….

The eyeshadow palette was big old hot mess.

I am however, grateful that the Truly Outrageous Liquid Lip Set did not fall victim to the same brand of awful.

I was walking around the drugstore a few days ago and I came across a display of miniature Body Fantasies Body Spray that were marked at $2.99 each for 3.2 oz each and suddenly I had this overwhelming need to get one of each in the display.

It all started because my friend Mattie was with me and he was all like “OMG! I remember those from high school” and I was like, “OMG Me too!” And there we sat like two tweens squealing over body mist.

This is my life.

None the less I was compelled to grab a few of these if for nothing at all to relive my youth.

And I actually ended up loving the Vanilla!

The Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Collection was whispered about a few weeks and it’s becoming a reality with the introduction of this Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette that contains 15 shades of eyeshadow that Gwen and Urban Decay collaborated on and created together!

From the images that Urban Decay posted it looks like a nice selection of neutral shades with a few pops of color here and there.

If you want to indulge in a really incredible brush set this season I’d say the It Cosmetics Experience Velvet Luxe On-The-Go for Holiday 2015 is the ultimate. The It Cosmetids Velvet Luxe Makeup Brush Collection is one of the best in their Ulta Brush Collection in my opinion. These are dense, softly bristled brushes that buff in makeup to a truly flawless finish.

I’m sad to say this set includes travel size brushes (typically It Cosmetics includes full sizes in their sets) but that doesn’t make it any less fantastic!

You get a foundation brush, eyeshadow brush, and a powder brush as well as a mini velvet brush roll to travel with!
