Tarte Glamazon Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2024 Throws a Little Color Into the Mix

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Ok, Tarte we see you trying over there. The new Tarte Glamazon Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2024 is throwing a little color into the mix. We see you, and we acknowledge your attempts at creating something new, but you still have a ways go to also, your clickbait email about this palette being a sell-out risk might be a little controversial. But I appreciate your efforts. Also, guys, let’s be real for a second. I’m not sure who wants this for $47. You might have to cut it down to around $30ish. It only has ten eyeshadows and it’s marked up by $2 compared to the 12-pan Tartelette Eyeshadow Palettes at $45 each. They call these “XL” Highlight and Transition Eyeshadows as the others are standard shades with 1 luster, 4 shimmers, and 5 mattes. I’m not seeing the size on those “XL” shades so they may be large enough to be considered four shades vs two. Not to mention the Maneater Night Fall Eyeshadow Palette is on sale for $32 and that contains 24 shades and the Big Ego Eyeshadow at $49 with 18 shades. I mean, I can go on and on all day with these comparisons but I think you get the idea right? That $47 is a little overzealous of ya. Plus never fear, I am 100% positive Tarte will have some super-size eyeshadow palette available for Spring 2024 that will trickle into their Summer 2024 launches. They always do these smaller launches before springing a big one on us!

Tarte Glamazon Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette contains eight new “rich tones” inspired by the Amazon Rainforest. I do question the validity of new shades. They are richer looking than Tarte’s normal bronzy, brassy roundup but they are still that rather repetitive brown, gold, and beige roundup nonetheless. But wait, they did get a little risque. They included a rather bright blue and forest green into the mix. How cheeky of them! But it’s likely not enough to make this a must-have, especially at this price.

Here’s what’s inside:

  • Horizon (matte soft peach)
  • Canopy (deep bronze shimmer)
  • Lush (matte forest green)
  • Light break (amber shimmer)
  • Haze (matte tan)
  • Enchanting (copper shimmer)
  • Lagoon (blue luster)
  • Forest (matte deep brown)
  • Mystic (pearl shimmer – XL pan)
  • Scenic (matte light brown – XL pan

Tarte Glamazon Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2024 is available now. Do you want it?

You Need To Follow Vincent Ford If You’re a Lady Of a Certain Age

“And suddenly it’s December and you’re not seventeen anymore and you haven’t been seventeen for a long time but sometimes, you need to remind yourself.” Ok, so, yeah, I got a little teary-eyed when I saw a Tiktok using this exact poem. Hey, in my defense I had Christmas Pajama movie night with some friends and we watched Me Before You for the zillionth time. That night as I lay listening to my boyfriend’s breathing feeling comforted by the fact we had a nice warm bed to sleep in I suddenly couldn’t sleep and started flicking through Tiktoks and came across one that jarred me. It translated to me as, “You’re not young anymore and time is going faster and faster.” Even though I’m still out here acting like I’m 12, I realize sometimes that I’m not!

As I get older I find I’m still learning new things every day. You’d think at some point in your life you just know everything that you need to know but don’t ever think or believe that. Learning never stops. You’ll learn something new every single day of your life be it from a mistake you make, a book you read, a person you know, someone new you meet, or a video you watch…you’ll learn something new each day of your life or someone will teach you something new.

I think makeup and skincare factor into this. As you get older you have to learn how to do things a bit differently in your beauty routine. I know as I got older I had to understand how to conceal my eyes correctly due to dryness and finer lines. I also had to understand how to use retinol correctly. I also realized late in life that fragrance in skincare isn’t as wonderful as I believed it was in my youth and matte eyeshadow isn’t nearly as evil as I thought. Your skin changes as you age and with that change, you have to re-learn your skincare and makeup routine.

An Honest Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
1 stars out of 5

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream is a new $100 gel moisturizer that promises to hydrate skin for 100 hours. This fragrance-free formula is a retake on Charlotte’s very popular Magic Cream. I think it was assumed that this formula was created with more oily skin in mind as it’s lighter yet still hydrating. The bonus is it lacks the old lady fragrance of the original Magic Cream (yes, I said old lady! Someone had to!).

Someone has to sit down and discuss how overpriced Magic Water Cream is for what you’re getting. Someone has to be honest. I guess that great responsibility falls on me. I love me some Charlotte Tilbury but Magic Water Cream ain’t it. It’s $100 dollars for a very water-based moisturizer that doesn’t contain anything that warrants the price tag. Sorry, Charlotte. I hope we can remain besties but if I’m spending some money on a moisturizer I expect more than squalane and niacinamide.
