It Cosmetics Confidence in a Gel Cream Oil-Free Moisturizer ($59) is a new gel moisturizer with a super light gel consistency created with oil skin used in mind. This moisturizer provides hydration while reducing shine and oil and boosting moisture. The vegan formula is oil-free and contains Airlicium which acts to create a blurring effect and helps to absorb oil. It also contains PHA which is a low calorie acid created with sensitive skin in mind to gently exfoliate skin. It also contains niacinamide as well as squalane.

I have reached a point in my life where I really read through the ingredients on my skincare and take note of what’s in them. This past weekend, I was very tempted to repurchase my beloved Belif Moisturizer but I haven’t used it in ages and I really though to myself, “Is this really a good idea for your skin?” It contains a very high levels of alcohol and right now it’s freezing out so, do I really need to potentially add dryness to my already dry skin? It never really dried my skin out which was a plus but I sat and really thought to myself do I want to chance it. In the end, I realized I was already VERY VERY happy with my Make Beauty Succulent Skin Gel Cream so, why was I looking for something I didn’t need when I already had a very, very good formula my skin already loved?

I’m mentioning this because I am sort of over It Cosmetics Confidence Skincare. They release these items and they almost immediately go on sale not to mention this formula contains Alcohol Denat not to mention the Confidence Skincare Collection really has a ton of fragrance. At $59 there really isn’t a lot to get excited in this formula. You can purchase something considerably cheaper in the world of K-Beauty with the same ingredients or better ones or even a gel moisturizer at the local drugstore like Fourth Ray Beauty Good Mood Gel Moisturizer!

This will probably sell well because It Cosmetics has a very strong fan base. I love It Cosmetics and think they have some solid offerings but skincare isn’t their strongest point in my opinion!

I’m not sure I need these. Is that weird of me to say? I love sparkle but I prefer it in my eyeshadows and not so much on my lips! I love a glossy lip moment but I feel like I’ve moved away from sparkly ones. I’m also a “if it isn’t broken don’t fix it” type of girl. I think Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump and the original Juicy Lip are solid, awesome formulas. But Tarte keeps releasing so many versions that feel unneeded. The last time launch was the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Shift which I felt would probably all look the same on lips. I never picked those up. I never felt like I needed them. These new shimmery one seems quite nice but again, I feel torn about needing them when I love the original ones so much already! But I dunno they make look freaking amazing lips so I might need to try at least one for research purposes ya know? I think my concern is they will look frosty.

If you didn’t shop yourself into a coma over the last week and you’re one of those last minute shoppers you’ll want to keep the Sephora Order by Dates handy so you get your gifts on time!
