There are three new, limited edition Sephora Collection Advent Calendars available for Holiday 2023. Choose from Sephora Premium Advent Calendar, Sephora After Advent Calendar, or the original Sephora Advent Calendar all of which are available now at sephora.com. These aren’t terribly exciting to me and for the price you’re paying you aren’t getting a good deal of interesting product. It’s all Sephora Collection items which isn’t a bad thing but some of these items are just boring. Also, I always find it insulting to dish out for an Advent Calendar and get sheets of stickers or a nail file as one of the items. Not cool in my opinion!

One thing of interest is maybe Sephora is getting into the fragrance biz as the Sephora Premium Advent Calendar contains a 1 oz Do Not Drink Perfume in Mandarin + Matcha. This was an interesting addition and I wonder if it’s a one off or if we’ll maybe seen a Sephora Collection Fragrance line for Spring 2024.

The Colourpop 11:11 Makeup Collection for Fall 2023 is launching this Thursday at colourpop.com and at Ulta October 27th to give your face and eyes a celestial pop of color for the cooler weather! I need a moment because I haven’t quite gotten over the Haunted Mansion Collection.

“11:11 is considered to be a significant moment in time for an event to occur. It is seen as an example of synchronicity, as well as a favorable sign or a suggestion towards the presence of spiritual influence.” I’m not sure where Colourpop is heading with this spiritual enlightment but ok!

Also, I have to be the one to say this. Close your ears if you’re a hardcore Colourpop girlie or guy. But this is such a wash, rinse, and repeat collection. It really has been done a dozen times before. I’m not sure what is up with Colourpop lately but they really put such little effort into their collections.

The new, limited-edition Bare Minerals Bare Ocean for Holiday 2023 featuring the 12 Days of Joy Holiday Advent Calendar has launched and I’m not really all that into it. They introduced a new Bare Minerals Mineralist Ocean Wonders Eyeshadow Palette and it does fit with their ocean theme but it didn’t really speak Holidays to me. Sometimes I really think I’m either insane or people are seeing this stuff and thinking the same thoughts as me. All I can think is “why?” Does anyone want aqua during the Holidays? I mean, I can see an icy blue sparkly look for the Holidays but aqua to me feels more Summer. And let’s not fail to mention they put it together with pinks and greys. I just don’t comprehend how they consider this to be an eyeshadow palette that someone can create a cohesive look from. Unless of course, you use the pinks/greys in one look and the aqua and greens in another. I feel like makeup brands just lost the vision for Holiday makeup!

Anyway, that’s entirely my own opinion. Someone else may see it and think wow, this is really something I need it! But let’s takea look at the Bare Minerals Holiday 2023 Makeup Collection and Gift Sets and decide if we need any of it.

I feel like no one knows that Covergirl Exhibitionist Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow is a thing and now we have a new round of Covergirl Exhibitionist by Kelsea Ballerini Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow for Holiday 2023. Seriously, these just somehow fell between the cracks somehow in my opinion! I only ever saw them once in the wild at a Walmart and I didn’t grab any because I was rushing out of the store but always wanted to because as a Stila Glitter and Glow Eyeshadow kind of girl I needed to do some sort of comparison of the formulas. But I sadly forgot about them only to realize hey, these are still around when Covergirl and country and western single, Kelsea Ballerini created a new round of shades for the Fall season. Now my interest is piqued again! Especially because some of these shades are a lot more flattering than the original shade selection! Last year, Kelsea was named the Covergirl Ambassador and at the time I did in fact have to Google who she was. I don’t really know a lot about country music! I have a pretty eclectic taste in music but God’s Country is the extent of my country music listening (and whatever I’m forced to listen to when I go to Cracker Barrel).
