A new Kayali Fragrance is on the way for Fall 2023 but I’m not blind buying this time around! After my disappointment with Yum Pistachio Gelato 33 I’ve been pretty chill with my Kayali Fragrance purchases (I didn’t yet get to store to smell Kayali The Wedding Velvet Santal 35 and I won’t blind buy it). As you may know Tom Ford Cafe Rose has been revised and brought back from the dead and I think that has sort of made the combination of rose and coffee right on trend for the Fall.

Kayali hasn’t actually said it’ll be a rose and coffee fragrance but they did hint at some of the notes on their social account and it appears those will be rose, coffee, oud (or perhaps woods), leaves, and vanilla. It sounds quite complex and interesting but again, I can’t always trust what Kayali is throwing around because some of their scents are like Bath and Body Works where they name it “Cupcake” and it smells NOTHING like a cupcake. Also, their scents are terribly overhyped and overblown on Tiktok and I tend to buy into that hype and find myself terribly disappointed.

So, whatever Kayali has brewing up I do feel safer smelling it in store before I indulge. That being said, I’m curious about this fragrance especially with that interesting combination of notes they’ve teased. I just hope the scent isn’t dominated by the rose as rose is a hit or miss for me. Also, I can never understand the combo of rose and coffee as my nose fails terribly at picking up the coffee note in some of these fragrances. For example, Replica’s Coffee Break totally did not smell of coffee to me! I hope I get that coffee fragrance because I love the smell of coffee and wouldn’t mind smelling like it!

I heard cherry and I instantly though that this would be a potential Tom Ford Cherry dupe-like fragrance but the addition of cherry blossoms makes me think differently now. Sadly, it probably won’t be the cherry scent of my dreams as cherry blossom and cherry notes are vastly different in my personal opinion. Cherry blossom has a light, floral cherry note and cherry is just full on in your face sweet, juicy, and fruity. Cherry has become a very popular note lately but no one has quite gotten it down completely right yet and I still feel the fragrance world is still lacking a true cherry scent.

I have a feeling Cherry Ambition will be a more complex, warm, and possibly woodsy cherry blossom fragrance but not a fruity, cherry one. I’m very curious to smell this and see what I think. Cherry Ambition Eau de Parfum

Ellis Brooklyn Apple Love is coming soon and I’m ready for it! A fragrance love letter to New York City with notes of bright red apple, peach, plum, muguet, sugar cane, sandalwood, Vanilla Madagascar, ambrox, and musks. Fall is almost here (Fall starts September 1st for me. Go ahead and fight me on that!). I was in Europe the past few weeks and they are just not in the mood for Fall. As soon as I got home this week I immediately dove into my fragrance collection and hauled out all my cozy Fall scents.

Of course, Kayali Eden Juicy Apple (my review) was hauled out! I’m wondering how Apple Love will compare to it.

I’ll readily admit Ellis Brooklyn Fragrances are a hit or miss for me. They don’t always smell like what I expect them to smell like and that can be disappointing. For example, Vanilla Milk definitely wasn’t the warm, sweet gourmand I was expecting!

But I’m ready to give Ellis Brooklyn Apple Love a try! I want juicy, crisp Fall apples that are sweet and sugary! Don’t disappoint me, guys! For now you want to snatch up the very affordable Al-Rehab Love Apple Perfume Oil and thank me later!
