Walmart and Target Report Major Losses Due To Shoplifting

A few weeks ago I came across a Tiktok where someone was teaching others how to “beat the system”. This included renting a car for a day and taking the tires off and replacing them with your own used, worn tires. It also, went into detail how you can search out clearance stickers and stick it on regularly priced merchandise as well as other “hacks” to “save money”. Remember the girl I was telling you about who buying luxury foundations at Sephora and refilling it with drugstore foundation and returning it? This isn’t a hack, this isn’t a saving money tip, this isn’t beating the system. This is stealing and retailers are suffering for it. This a major thing on social media. I see Tiktoks constantly showing people with huge carts of items just walking out the door of major retailers. And the sad thing is, for the safety of their employees, the chains just let it happen. And I can understand that because really, if you’re working retailer part of your job shouldn’t be to run after someone who is stealing a cart of goods. What if they get violent?

The loss of items to retail theft, organized crime, damage, vendor fraud, and other factors is a major issue for Target and Walmart at the moment. According to Target’s CEO there’s a huge amount of retail theft in a variety of forms and caused a 400 million dollar to Target’s retailer’s gross profit margin for the year.

More and more stores in New York have security guards right at the door because of these new “smash and grab” type robberies that take place. Apparently one such instance of this happened at Nordstrom in California where the thieves got away with $300,000 worth of merchandise in one go!

This leads us retailers locking up higher priced items like makeup and beauty. Remember Walmart did it? Remember Walmart getting sued for locking up beauty products?

Laura Mercier Japan In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette Brings Pink to Fall 2023

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

First the Bobbi Brown Moonstone Collection with soft pastels and now the new Laura Mercier Japan In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette ($30) brings soft, delicate pinks to Fall 2023. Hmmm! I see a pattern! Although, I can’t personally wear pastels and found the Moonstone Collection not to my taste I do really like the soft, feminine shades of the Japan in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette but why now? Why for Fall? As March turns to April the cherry blossoms bloom in Japan and this palette would be a perfect released for that time. But here we are going from green to orange and brown leaves and we’re getting this beautiful pink Spring-like palette.

Bath & Body Works Gingham Robe and Pajama Sets Arrive Online

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Why does it feel like Bath & Body Works is trying too hard lately? I love them! I really do! But it feels like they are reaching too hard lately. Bath & Body Works Gingham Robe and Pajama Sets as well as slippers arrived online today and I question why. I mean, don’t get me wrong I loved me a Lambie Blanket and hell, the Lambie Slippers? Don’t get me started on my passion for those! They need to bring stuff like that back and not introduce stuff like pajama sets…!

I sort of get the rope and I totally understand the slippers but I’m not sure about pajama sets! Also, I’m not sure about pajamas at $60+ dollars or a robe that’s $70. Right now, in this economy, it might be a hard sell even after a discount. Bath & Body Works has been on an interesting streak lately! There’s a new Bath & Body Works Laundry Detergent which was interesting and I’m hearing more unexpected things are on the way!

The new Bath & Body Works Gingham Collection features a Gingham Robe ($69.95), Gingham Pajama Sets ($59.95), and Gingham Slippers ($24.95) for Fall 2023. These are available in a variety of sizes. These are cute but not sure I really need them.

How about you?

Bath & Body Works Gingham Robe and Pajama Sets are available online now!

Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Creaseless Precise Angles Concealer for Fall 2023

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I am beside myself in excitement over the new YSL All Hours Creaseless Precise Angles Concealer! I happen to be a massive fan of the original YSL All Hours Concealer (even if it was a bit sheerer than I like my concealers to be) and I’m hoping that this new version is formulated just as wonderfully. The old version was thin, creamy, blended like a dream under my drier eyes and looked super natural. This new version promises full-coverage in a soft matte formula that wears up to 24 hours. It also features a new multi-use applicator that has a broad side and a precise tip!

This also formulated with caffeine that acts to depuff and apparently contains “skincare actives to make skin look smoother, softer, and firmer after 14 days”. The new Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Creaseless Precise Angles Concealer is available in 18 shade and is $38. It’s a bit more than the original which was $34. I’m not sure which shade I am as originally I got Sand but the new shades are labeled with numbers and letters. I hope the shades are similar to the original formula.

I’m really hyped about the fact so many brands are releasing concealer for Fall 2023. As a concealer junkie I totally appreciate all these new formulas and I’m really looking forward to trying them out. So far we have at least seven new formulas and more are coming! I wonder which one(s) are going to be a keeper!

Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Creaseless Precise Angles Concealer is coming soon to Sephora. Will you be trying it?
