Bobbi Brown Moonstone Collection is Serving Spring Pastels for Fall?

The Bobbi Brown Moonstone Collection has launched and I’m confused if this is the Bobbi Brown Fall 2023 or Holiday 2023 Collection. I’m further confused because damn girl, that’s a lot of pastel. This is likely the Fall 2023 launch as we do normally get a gift round up from Bobbi Brown for the Holidays as well as a core color collection but I’m shocked because this would work best for Spring 2024 not Fall 2023. Sure, sometimes you have to think outside the box but I’m a creature of habit and I love my warm, cozy shades in the Fall! I’m not really reaching for softer pastels. And P.S. I’m run through my phase of believing that I looked good in pastels. I don’t. I’m not in denial any longer about this. Pastels look like rigor mortis set in when I wear them. They just aren’t for me. I’m sure someone is going to love this collection but I don’t think it’s me sadly. One thing I will say is I’ll happily take a helping of that Lux Lipstick shade in Toasted Honey! It’s a warm mid-tone beige and looks like a great nude lipstick!

That being said…..!

This is actually a Chinese Valentine’s Day Collection but are they promoting it as their Fall 2023 Collection is my question? Chinese Valentine’s Day falls in August 23rd and the softer pastels do work for that Holiday not to mention a color collection like this will look incredible on an Asian complexion! So, the releases makes more sense when seeing it through that lens. But if you didn’t realize it was Chinese Valentine’s Day you might very well be confused if Bobbi Brown is promoting this as Fall or not?!

How about you?

i’m with you muse. the pastels wouldn’t even show up on me and that dark blue would look ridiculous. this looks like a palette design sent from a time warp from the past. super boring and dated.
