Jill Stuart US Closing and Pulling Out of US Market
The Jill Stuart US online website is closing at the end of June and it appears the brand is completely pulling out of the US Market considering the New York Flagship store has now closed as well. This is a pretty sad day. I believe it was 2009 when Jill Stuart launched their flagship store located in Soho, New York. It was pretty exciting as prior to that you could only get your hands on the brand via secondary sellers from Asia.
Oddly, for me, I didn’t spend as much money on the US launches as I did the Japanese ones. I used to purchase every collection as soon as it launched in Japan but when it came to the US it felt like I already owned what the store was carrying and the smaller new launches felt repetitive.
Jill Stuart isn’t the only brand that has closed up shop. Both Urban Decay and Too Faced have pulled out of a lot of different markets outside the US including Canada. Will you miss the Jill Stuart US website? I think I’m safe saying I probably won’t. The brand just fails to capture my interest lately.
