Trader Joe’s Joe-Joe’s Cookies & Creme Granola Review

I picked up a bag of the new Trader Joe’s Joe-Joe’s Cookies & Creme Granola and I thought I’d do a quick review because the Holiday Makeup Collections are doing my head in and we need a little break. Sound good?

Trader Joe’s Joe-Joe’s Cookies & Creme Granola is a new and I believe seasonal granola that launched for Fall 2022. Hopefully, they keep this around as it’s quite delicious. We had a mini meltdown over here yesterday as we ran out of chia seeds which are a staple in our overnight oats, yogurt, and the protein shakes my boyfriend makes after his workout. I had a bag of Honey Bunches of Oats in the pantry which my boyfriend won’t touch with a ten-foot pole but I totally love. As I was about to sprinkle some on my greek yogurt I remembered I had gotten a bag of the Trader Joe’s Joe-Joe’s Cookies & Creme Granola!

And after eating it I realized I will never, ever buy it again!

Sephora Holiday 2022 Is a Horrifying, Hot, Chaotic Mess

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Sephora Holiday 2022 has arrived today and it brings a selection of gifts featuring brushes, makeup palettes, and more. The Wishing You Advent Calendar and Wishing You Blockbuster Multi-Use Makeup Palette are probably the stars of the show but all in all, I’ll be honest and say a lot of the palettes and makeup sets look rather cheap and cheesy. I remember Blockbuster Palettes being much, much nicer! I even reviewed one a long time ago and actually enjoyed it. The collection isn’t even festive! It has bright shades of yellow, blue, and green packaging which just give off Spring or Summer vibes but nothing truly festive. What’s really weird is they don’t follow any rhyme or reason with the collection. It starts off green, yellow, and blue and it moves to a light blue snowflake design and goes into some black packaging. I have no idea what the theme is!??!?

I guess these are excellent options for tweens but I can’t rightfully see anyone in their late 20s and upward actually dishing out money on any of these makeup palettes or color sets. The worst part about them is the color selections. Pale blues, weird shades of pink, it feels very 1960s! For example, the Sephora Mini Wishing You Blockbuster Palette is a mix of the weirdest shades I’ve ever seen in my life. It feels a bit tropical but fails miserably! Hey, I’m all about fun shades but this is such a chaotic shade range! That’s just one example but the rest of the eyeshadow palettes are absolutely no better! I’m legit doing a Jack Skellington over here and yelling at my monitor, “WHAT’S THIS? WHAT’S THI!?”

I will say the brush sets do seem to dominate the collection. They have many makeup brush gift sets and in my experience, they are always rather good quality. But all in all, the Sephora Holiday 2022 Collection is just rather boring, uneventful, and not Holiday-ish in the least. This collection is really phoned in! Oddly, Sephora is very protective of their image and how they are portrayed so it puzzles me why they’d launch a collection with their name printed on it that gives off cheap made-in-China vibes. Nothing against makeup made in China by the way but I’ve seen better makeup collections from brands like BH Cosmetics or small indie brands. This is seriously a disappointment.

Jump ahead for the Sephora Holiday 2022 Makeup Palette and Gift Set roundup and let me know what you think!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Pumpkin spice everything am I, right? Even Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask! Tis the season and the new Laneige Pumpkin Spice Lip Sleeping Mask is on my wish list! Laneige’s cult-favorite lip mask is a favorite of mine! I use it to hydrate my tired, dry lips but even use it in the day for a bit of shine or over my lip color for moisture and shine! It contains a mix of coconut oil, shea, and murumuru butter to keep lips well hydrated.

There’s a new Pumpkin Spice flavor for Fall 2022 that’s available as an individual full-size purchase or you can snag it in one of the new Holiday Sets! The Sweet Dream Trio contains a full-size Berry Lip Sleeping Mask and minis of the new Pumpkin Spice Flavor and Peppermint.

Can I tell you I’ve never ran so fast and so hard to pick up a lip mask before? Ha…! I know it’s probably a light scent as they don’t normally go full-on with these but I’m excited to get it.

Tarte Shape Tape Cream Foundation Is Yet Another Foundation Release from the Brand

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Tarte Shape Tape Cream Foundation is a new solid gel foundation infused with licorice root and mushroom extract as well as hydrating hyaluronic acid. This skin smoothing formula has the coverage of a foundation with the texture of a face cream that melts into the skin leaving it smooth and flawless.

I always want to love cream compact foundations as they seem perfect for my drier skin but sadly, they are always such a nightmare. They accentuate flaws I didn’t even know I had and end up making me look incredibly made up. They also adhere to drier areas on my face which isn’t a good look for me. Just look what happened with the KVD Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Hydrating Foundation Balm. Hundreds of people on Tiktok were raving that formula but it was a hot, horrifying mess. I’m not really sure who looks good in cream foundations like this but please if they work for you let me know! I’d be curious what the prep work is to make them look amazing!

But hey, that isn’t to say Tarte Shape Tape Cream Foundation isn’t awesome. Maybe it’ll surprise me as lately Tarte has hade me pretty happy with their foundation releases. Tarte Shape Tape Cloud CC Cream was a hit for me. That being said jeez, Tarte, how many foundations do you release in a year? Is it me or do they do like two to three foundation releases per season? It’s crazy. And they are really riding that Shape Tape high lately aren’t they? Because every single foundation is called “Shape Tape” something.

If you’re hyped to try out Tarte Shape Tape Cream Foundation it’s available first at qvc.com. It comes with full-size Shape Tape Cream Foundation Brush and your choice of shades in the Shape Tape Cream Foundation formula for $45 with free shipping!

Let me know what you think of this new formula!
