Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl Eau de Parfum Releases Stateside

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl Eau de Parfum finally arrives stateside and you can snag a rollerball for $30 bucks or a bottle in a variety of sizes that start at $76. Very Good Girl has already had a European release and I was expecting it to roll out for Fall 2021 and hey, being the end of June, I’d say it’s just on time for a Fall launch.

I’m actually not a fan of the original Good Girl fragrance but lord, she isn’t good, she’s all bad. It’s not really a scent that I love personally! But that doesn’t make it any less popular with lovers of amber and floral notes. I envision something a little sweeter for the good girls out there. And that may be just what you get with Very Good Girl as it contains notes of reducrrant, lychee, and even a bit of vanilla.

Although don’t let those fruity and gourmand notes throw you as this as a vetiver base which give it a warm masculinity. This counteracts all these fruity notes and delievers a bit of a warmer punch towards the complete dry down of the scent making it very much like what you’d smell from Carolina’s Bad Boy fragrance.

As with all of the Good Girl scents this comes housed in a glamorous red shoe flanker in a new red design.

I did get asked about this a bit and people were wondering when it would release so I’m happy to report Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl Eau de Parfum is now available.

Will you be buying it?

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation Pouch Makes Refills a Snap

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation is now available in a pouch making it easy to refill your favorite shade of foundation without excess waste. Refillable pouches are very, very common in Asia. The Japanese are particularly a fan of creating refill pouches for everything under the sun including shower gels, shampoos, and of course, skincare.

But wait, is it refillable? Apparently, not…? Maybelline calls this a “new portable on-the-go packaging”. But let’s get back to that in a second….

Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation is typically 1 oz in size and about $7.99 full retail but you can find it at a variety of mass retailers such as Target ($5.59) and Walmart ($3.46) for way less.

It’s sort of weird that a 1.3 oz pouch is $7.98 but the same 1 oz bottle is $3.46. You might as well just get two bottles at this price. On the up side it does look like a special price at the moment for bottles as typically bottles are $7.99 at 1 oz and the pouch is $7.98 which contains a smidge more product at 1.3 oz.

I don’t technically use Fit Me which means I’m not familiar with the packaging. Does anyone know if you can unscrew it and refill it? Curious minds as that would be the sole reason you might want to buy this. Otherwise, the idea of applying foundation from a pouch or even toting one around seems weird for someone that isn’t a makeup artist. If you are a makeup artist this is great as you can easily squeeze a small amount out and mix it with other shades. It may even be a space safer in your kit because it can lay flat.

Otherwise, it seems sort of pointless!

Hmmmm!

What do you think of the new Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation Pouch?

OnlyFans Tries to Break Into the Beauty World Will They Succeed?

Do you think Only Fans can break into the beauty world? They are currently trying to break out of their “sexy” role in the social media world and take on more fashion and beauty content creators.

Ok, so, Only Fans isn’t all about sex. Although, I can’t deny that all those juicy Tyler Posey tidbits that were revealed on Only Fans are pretty darn awesome. You just never know what you’re going to get when he starts going off. And hey, since Only Fans is a very liberal content creation site making it anyone’s game to post anything they want. From Trisha Paytas showering naked to 90’s bands seeking a comeback there’s a little something for just about anyone. But if we’re honest, even though Only Fans has never really disclosed their exact adult content percentage, the number of content creators across the platform are in fact adult in nature. That is in fact part of the fun of Only Fans. If you want G rated you create a Patreon if you want sexy you get yourself an Only Fans account. And if you’re a fan girl or guy and want “more” from your favorite gamer, influencer, or celebrity it’s more you’ll get if they have an Only Fans account.

Only Fans is a mere five years only, very much in their infancy, but with the pandemic its really become a popular source of income for many digital creators and even A or B list celebrities looking to make a quick buck. Stay at home orders have created a new and interesting round of creators looking for ways to make money on the Internet or just because, like many of us, they are bored in the house. Platforms like Only Fans are looking to capture those creators and their followers. And beauty, as we all know, is a pretty big industry.

Sure, you may think Only Fans and instantly think porn but they are working pretty hard behind the scenes to change their image. Apparently beauty is slowly starting to take off across Only Fans. But are you willing to pay for your beauty content?

The highest Only Fans account will set you back around $50 for a follow of your favorite creator. Creators can charge people for private messaging features or access to certain posts and photos. Granted some creators charge less. For example, you can totally watch Tyler Posey do really “interesting things” for a mere $5 a month (or you can head over to Porn Hub or Reddit and watch people re-post it gleefully but come on, it’s only five bucks! Support the guy a little! Teen Wolf was ages ago after all!). Likewise, for celebs like CardiB who charge a mere five bucks to so you can watch her babble on about daily life. The sheer entertainment of CardiB going off on her Only Fans is worth WAY more than five dollars! Just sayin’!

Right now beauty creators are sparse across the platform but that’s about to change given the fact the Only Fans is about to turn its reputation around! Only Fans is seeking outside capital of 1 billion dollars for it’s more “mainstream media” marketing promotion. Certain beauty creators are waiting for Only Fans reputation to improve before they’ll willing admit to using the site. But how quickly can Only Fans actually turn it’s sexy reputation behind?

That’s a question I’d love to see answered.

If you really love a beauty influencer, blogger, or Instagrammer are you willing to pay for their content on a platform like Only Fans?

I’m leaning towards yes on this. For example, I’d pay to read Temptalia’s content, I’d pay to watch Emily Noel, I’d pay to listen to my favorite ASMRers (I already do in fact) there are a lot of excellent people in the industry I would happily pay a subscription fee to watch or read.

How about you?

Do you think OnlyFans can actually attract the beauty community or even influencers and bloggers to start creating more content on their site? With the birth of Tiktok Beauty Content Creators it may just be a hard sell…!

We’ll have to see how it pans out.

Bath & Body Works Strawberry Soda Fragrance Mist Really Is Middle School All Over Again

I caved! I purchased Bath & Body Strawberry Soda Fragrance Mist and Body Lotion and I REGRET NOTHING! Nothing I TELL YOU! Bath & Body Works Strawberry Soda Fragrance Mist released for the Semi-Annual Sale 2021. Bath & Body Works is sort of weird with these exclusive sale scents. They started doing these about a two years ago or so….they would say “fan favorites” and “retired scents” would be available but also, they’d throw in these scents they’ve never done before and right out for the gate they would me marked down and sort of a sale exclusive. I don’t hate this at all! I think it’s great because the sale sucks so hard that I’m actually grateful to see something brand new and on sale.

As you know I did place myself on a ban but the price on these dropped for under $4 bucks at which point I was like screw this I need to just go do a haul already!

Strawberry Soda is actually one of the very few Bath & Body Works scents that actually smells like its name! I’m talking to you Pumpkin Cupcake! You smell NOTHING LIKE Pumpkin Cupcake damn you!

Seriously though, have you had that weird Bath & Body Works phenomenon happen to you? They’ll name something “Chocolate Chip Cookies” and it ends up smelling nothing at all like cookies or chocolate anything. It’s so damn annoying.

You have no worries with Strawberry Soda! It literally smells just like strawberry soda.

Which Celebrity is Jumping Into Beauty Next? Scarlett Johansson!

Wondering which celebrity is jumping into beauty world next? There may be a Scarlett Johansson Makeup and Beauty Collection coming our way soon. According to WWD the actress will release an unnamed beauty line early in 2022.

Ive been fascinated by the transformative power of beauty since I was a child. My mother instilled in me a passion for self care from my early teenage years. Several years ago, I took a step back from my beauty deals with the goal of creating something true to me. The result is a clean, accessible approach to beauty, Johansson said in a statement.

Najafi Companies is providing funds for the collection with a smallish budget of 5 to 10 million dollars. It’s pretty much a disposable line at that level of investment in my opinion. Cheaper to make, perhaps higher to sell. We’ll have to see though! I expect something elegant from Scarlett but it may be more along the lines of what we’ve seen from Selena and her Rare Beauty Collection.

The overly saturated market apparently isn’t something her investors are fearing as they expect to grow and expand the line.

I’ve reached a point in my makeup and beauty life that very few things surprise or intrigue me. Scarlett is going to really have to do some major work on this brand to wow me. I don’t hate on Selena at all and I think Rare Beauty is a rather gorgeous line of products but does it knock my socks off? No. Likewise, for Jennifer Lopez’s new skincare line and the endless other celebrities that are apparently really interested in getting into the beauty world at the moment.

As much as we’d all like to think it’s ages to late to jump into something like this the numbers don’t lie and makeup, fragrance, and particularly skincare is still a thriving market.

Let’s hope Scarlett Johansson’s Makeup line brings us something exciting!
