P.S. How’s your week going!? It’s almost over now! Sorry for the lack of posts but my real life work has been keeping me mighty busy this week! Yesterday, I was procrastinating for about five minutes on youTube and I came across that incredible Sephora promo for the Ariel Collection they launched! I forgot how much I adored the Painted Palms!
I wish there was a little more underwater mermaid stuff going on a la Splash! But hey, I’ll get my mermaid kicks where I can!
I hope you have a good rest of the week and a great weekend ahead! I’ll have some great posts planned so stay tuned!
Wet n Wild Metallic Liquid Lipstick ($2.99) is a new lipstick that launched with the Wet n Wild Lost in the Wild Flowers Summer 2016 Collection. This is available in six shade selections and I’m unsure if Wet n Wild is keeping it on permanently or if it will be available for a limited time only.
I actually hate metallic lipsticks and metallic eyeshadows. I like them in theory! I just don’t like how they look on me. Occasionally, I do run across a metallic finish I like but it is very rare as most times metallic translates as frost to me or way too much shimmer. And metallic lipstick or gloss? Well, typically that makes me feel like I look like a robot. I wear it and suddenly I’m moping around like Marvin.
I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
You really do need Sephora Rouge Balm ($12.50) because it is one of the better lip products I’ve tried lately and hello? It’s $12.50! Steal! Recently, Sephora released eight shades of Rouge Balm recently each of which contains an SPF 20. If I listen hard enough I bet I can hear you all cheering that this contains SPF.
I stupidly purchased a single shade of this during the Sephora Love Note event and I admit to kicking myself for not grabbing more but that will be quickly redeemed. Why only one? Well, you know the drill with Sephora makeup! When they get it right they get it VERY right but when they get it wrong, oh lord.
This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.
Lipstick Queen Eden ($22) is a delightfully juicy red that will make for perfect Spring lips when you want to go a bit lighter with your lipstick. I always think of red lipstick as something to be worn in the evening but not so much in the day. I’m even a little wary of wearing it to a meeting or to meet a client as it seems a little too bright sometimes and not entirely appropriate.
