I’ve heard the new Maybelline concealer is very good, the one with 2 ends (sorry I don’t remember the name!)

I use mineral concealer and it’s OK. Just load it up on my brush and pat, pat, pat away. Even some serious scars did not show on my DL photo.

  • Tanya Annette

Yay! I can’t wait to hear your reviews!

Right now I’m using two different concealers. For blemishes I’m using MUFE Full Cover. On lazy days I’ll just use this to spot cover and then use powder. It’s great at covering up without looking too heavy.

For my eyes I’m using Benefit’s Erase Paste. I love this!!!! It’s a perfect match and feels so creamy 🙂

  • Asta

I’m using Stila illuminating concealer. It comes in a lip gloss-like container with it’s own brush, which makes application easy. I just pat with my fingers and it looks very natural. I need a new eye cream or gel though. My old Clinique stuff is hydrating but I want something better.

  • the Muse

    hiya dao!

    Happy Monday darlin!

Hmm dunno that one…must have a lookee around for it!

I can’t use mineral concealer as I have very fine lines and it cakes in and creases horribly aging me 10 years yak!

You’re lucky!!! I need industrial concealer for my bags and dark circles 😉

  • the Muse

    hiya Tanya Annette!

😉 I’m glad you’re excited to hear ’bout ’em!

I wish I loved Erase Paste but it did nada for me sadly 🙁 sigh!

I normally use the lift concealer for my eyes and nothing for spots or blemishes as I don’t have any thankfully! But I def have some serious circles to conceal yak!

  • the Muse

    hi asta!

I always wanted to try this!!!!!! Is it really good?

I’ve been using clinique airbrush concealer and it’s quite good 😉 I have a few up my sleeve for review so do wait before purchasing a new one!

    Thanks for the comment!

  • MC

Time Balm by The Balm is my absolute must have concealer. It is so creamy and blends beautifully. I HATE the container though because it’s a cheapy kind, but I can forgive it because the concealer is amazing.

Second place goes to Urban Decay Surreal Skin Concealer. It is really great for the under eye area.

    Hi Muse

I am also in need of a good concelaer as well. I have been using Trish Mc evoy and i am really pleased. But its time for some chage. I have been searching for a good one in nordstrom to sephora. Tried the Cleau de pleau and loved it. But the price backed me out. The next i felt was to try precriptives custom blend . i really like it. It is dry and feel so natural.Remember to apply some eye cream. It lays out the best.

So far so good. But the search is still on……….\

    Thanks

    Sabeena

  • jackieg02

I can’t wait to see your reviews. I haven’t found a concealer that is good enough to hide my dark circles under my eyes yet. Thats all I’m maily worried about concealing.

  • Becky@Glam-Beauty

Benefit boi-ing is the only thing that covers my acne scars/blemishes

  • hyo-jin

muse, you’re killing me! i’ve been visiting your blog everyday because so many promised reviews and now this? i think i’m gunna die of an anxiety attack! haha

PS: i’m especially excited for the BB cream reviews (is that much of a surprise?)

I feel so inept with concealers!
Right now, I have Meow Undereye concealer in Inquisitive Siamese (which matches my Meow Foundation), but I will often take any mineral makeup foundation and mix it with a dab of my moisturizer to go under my eyes or on any blemishes if I feel the need. I’d like an easy on pen, but finding a shade to match seems hard, and using the mmu with moisturizer is so easy.

I’m really curious to see what you like.

  • Beauty Addict

Hey Izzy, sory to hear about frustrating Monday..Hope u can get the problems solve soon! 🙂

Ooh..can’t wait for your concealor review! I have fine lines and the skin under my eyes are rather dry 🙁 Plus the panda eye..horrors of horrors 😮

I’ve been trying to find reviews for concealors as well recently. Personally, I’ve not tried much concealors myself, only ZA’s concealor, Bobbi Brown’s and L’Oreal’s.

Bobbi Brown’s concealor is such a dissapointment despite the rave reviews. It cakes terribly and accentuate my fine lines 🙁

ZA’s concealor is ok, it doesn’t settle into fine lines and is a rather good over all concealor. However, the staying power is exactly great esp with the humid weather here. It gives a slightly whitish cast when applied under the eye area.

Hopefully the concealors u are gonna review can be found in SG! I like your review on eye creams but sadly most products couldn’t be found here 🙁

Have a fab week ahead! 🙂

    gracie 🙂

I love Diorskin Sculpt concealer. A bit pricey, but well worth it!

  • Ping.

    hi muse!
i’m looking forward for this post… i can’t find the HG concealer yet… i’m using the one from bodyshop.. its alright but not fantastic..

  • acutelife

    Hi again 🙂
I use bobbibrown eye brightener medium. it comes in a small jar with creamy texture (oh, and it smells nice hehehe) but in regards to coverage, im still searching for something better because after application I still can spot a glimpses of dark area under me eyes. maybe im just too conscious abt my panda eyes, but i definitely still want to try other concealer that can (hopefully) better cover my dark cicle

  • the Muse

    hiya MC!

I have to try it! I was ALWAYS curious about it as it reminded me of my favorite concealer, Benefit Bo-ing!

I’ve never used the UD Surreal Skin! I’ve wanted to for ages and ages now 🙂 Was curious ’bout it 😉

  • the Muse

    hello Sabeena!

I never tried the TM but I have tried plenty of others! 🙂

The CdP is a bit out of my price range as well 🙁

I’ve haven’t quite found my HG concealer but I have tried enough that I think it’ll benefit if I review some 🙂

The search is on for me still too heehee 🙂 but I definately have run across some great ones!

    Thanks for sharing 🙂

  • the Muse

    hiya jackieg!

I haven’t quite found an HG yet but have found great ones 🙂

Have you tried a heavy yellow base concealer? Works wonders at concealing dark rings under the eyes 🙂

  • the Muse

    hiya Becky!

I LOVE boi-ing but sadly for some reason it’s been creasing on me badly 🙁 could be due to my dry under eyes 🙁

It’s definately HG material for me but I wish I could use it still getting older!

  • the Muse

    hello there hyo-jin!

LOL! 🙂 First of all thanks for visiting me 🙂 Secondly I’m sorry for creating so many lemmings with my reviews lol!

LOL! I hope you’re enjoying all the reviews!

LOL!! Oh I had such a wonderful laugh when I heard: FIGHTING 🙂 I do a great impression of Lee Da Hae saying that! “Figh-teen!” lol!

Cheers hyo-jin! Thanks for brightening up my blog with your wonderful comment!

  • the Muse

morning or afternoon yak dd 🙂

Aww gosh maybe that’s b/c you don’t need ’em! Which is good news!

I need concealer mostly for my under eyes and rarely use it on blemishes.

Your skin is milky white so it is difficult locating a good tone. It’s best to head into store for a swatch!

You might wanna try the PWMD one b/c it’s ultra light plus it’s a pen! It’s not a fav of mine but since you don’t have a ton to conceal it may work well 🙂

  • the Muse

    morning gracie!

Aw thanks honey! I’m alright thankfully I’ll live 🙂

You’re too young for fine lines you’re imagining those lol!

I understand. I don’t really have dark, dark circles but I do sport rather tired eyes. I noticed after my 30th bday I started having this prob!

I’m doing a big round up so maybe you’ll see something that suits you!

BB does cake on me as well and creases but I find with good prepping it does work ok!

You should try the Lancome one I’ll be reviewing shortly. It’s extremely wp!

I hope so too if not I’ll happily cp for you 🙂

Anytime you need anything yell at me 🙂

Have a wonderful week gracie! Thanks for keeping me company here and always brightening up my comment box 🙂

    MWAH!

  • the Muse

    hello Anonymous!

I haven’t tried that yet! I have tried the booster pen and the hydrating dior concealer…must try it out 🙂 I don’t mind pricey if it works great!

  • the Muse

    hi acutelife!

I’ve wanted to try this for a while now since it gets so many raves. I’ve tried the compact version of the concealer and I did like it but it creases and cakes a bit on me 😛

Smelling nice is a plus hehe!

Hopefully something I review this week will help you with your dark circles 🙂

    Thanks for your comment again!
    Enjoying talking to you!

    Hugs!

  • the Muse

    hiya gio!

    Thanks lovie 🙂

Looking forward to posting ’em for you!

  • Decorative Diva

Aww thank you for the compliments! Being in FL for 4 years has actually darkened me a bit. I can’t tan (I fry like a lobster), and I don’t even try, but apparently enough limited exposure will tint even my skin.

    What is PWMD?

  • Asta

About the Stila illuminating concealer: Yes, it’s good. One of the SAs I trust at Sephora uses it so I feel like it’s decent compared to most other products in that price range. It’s a lighter/more watery formula so I don’t know if you’ll love it, but it’s pigmented enough for my admittedly light undereye circles. It’s the best I’ve found so far, but I’ll keep testing other brands while shopping!

  • the Muse

    hey dd!

You’re most welcome 😉 tis only true!

Aw you’re super pale that’s why! WHich is great I’d kill for your tone!

Patricia Wexler MD 😉 She does a cheap pen for BBW 🙂

  • the Muse

    Hi asta 😉

the slight shimmer to it intrigues me. I do need heavier coverage though but I’m still tempted 😉

During the next discount at Stila I think I’ll order one! Sounds like something I might like!

    Thanks asta!

  • Laurel

Funny that you should bring up the subject of concealers now. I have been on a life-long search of the perfect under-eye concealer, as I suffer from natural dark circles. I have tried absolutely everything, from drug store brands to even the very highest end concealer. And while some were quite good, most concealers, if they really were concealing those horrid dark circles, would end up crepey and creeping into the fine lines around my eyes.

    Until now.

Lorac Double Feature concealer is a miracle! It has a concealer stick, and a roller-blendy ball. And a highlighter. I don’t know how they do it, but the formula together with the roller-blendy ball works magic! I put it on and it stays on. And I don’t have to keep “sweeping” under my eyes to blend away concealer from those fine under-eye lines! I never get that crepey look with this product. And my dark circles are gone, gone, gone!

And the highlighter is lovely as well. I use it as a shadow base and it gives my eyeshadow an ethereal glow.

For those lovelies with dark under-eye circle, I highly recommend this product!

  • the Muse

    hello Laurel!

Me too!!!!! I’ve found great ones but nothing has become complete HG for me 🙂

ditto for me. if they are good and have good coverage they end up creasing sigh 🙁

Funny you mention the lorac…I’m reviewing it this week!!!!!

It’s absolutely awesome. I thought the rollerball was a powder for setting but the applicator…so awesome and it gives an airbrushed look!

You’ll see the review shortly on this as I purchased it this weekend!

  • Laurel

    Muse,

I can’t wait to read your review! Another little bit I discovered with this product, after roller-blending under the eyes, use the little bit of product left on the roller ball to cover little spots elsewhere!

    Happy reviewing.

  • the Muse

    hi again Laurel!

I’ll have it posted prob thursday 🙂

That’s a fab idea! Thanks!!!!!!! I was actually rolling it along my upper lip line and using the excess to highlight and brighten shadows that I get under my lip line, down the side of my nose, etc 😉

  • LeAnne@Hairs My Story Team

Stila made the best concealer for my complexion. The worse is MAC select Coverup.

  • the Muse

    hi leanne!

I’m so deprived! I never tried stila can you believe it!?

Worst for me was erase paste yak!

  • alyssa

    Hey izzy,

I seriously need your help on this.
I’m fair-medium skin and i have serious dark circles. I’m 23 yrs old btw =)

After reading all your reviews on concealers, i have narrowed down to a few which interest me.
I’m particularly interested in trying BB’s but i’m not sure whether to get the creamy concealer or corrector. And if i were to get the creamy one, should i get the kit that comes with loose powder? does the powder makes any diff? My dark circles are really really bad and i do have fine lines under eye as well. I also remember u did a review on BB’s concealer palette which i have shortlisted as well. Other than BB, i’m also considering Make Up Forever Lift Concealer.

So basically those that i have shortlisted are:

    BB creamy concealer kit
    BB creamy concealer
    BB corrector concealer
Make Up For Ever Lift concealer

I hope you could advice me on this.

sorry for the long winded comment btw =P

  • Nadiah

    Heloo!
Im addicted to ur blog!It gives me every kind of info i need for every little thing for my face! Love U! I’m still in search for the bestest eye concealer ever , so i hope to find one from ur recommendation.

Im currently using loreal Touche Magique. Works ok, but only 2 colours =/ The brush applicator does help abit, but it sort of stretches the skin underneath when ur trying to blend it.

I wonder if it’s going to worsen our eyes in the long run. As such….I think dabbing is preferred.:P

  • the Muse

    hey alyssa!

Sorry for the delayed reply bit behind on comments!

Ok. If I were you I’d go with the BB concealer palette for one main reason. I’ve noticed that a combination of both the palette and the powder actually concealer my circles better then anything else I’ve tried even MUFE Lift Concealer. I find that BB concealers are super pigmented and emollient which makes them last quite a long time and also cover well!

BB Creams are fab in there own way but honestly never seen one that worked wonders on my dark circles..I’d def invest my money in the bb palette that has the powder and three concealer shades. I can’t remember but are you in the US? if so I’ve seen the palette at CCO’s for $24.50 I believe the price was and that’s a deal so get to your local cco see if they have it 🙂

Yes, I did think that the powder not only brightens my dark circles but also acts as a setter for the concealer. I normally try to avoid powders under my eye but since I started prepping better with eye cream and hydroshield I now think that the powder is fabs for lightening up the eye area 😉 so yes it’s a good thing 🙂

I hope this helps 🙂 If you need help getting that palette let me know!

    Hugs!!!!!

oh make ’em as long winded as you like 🙂 I love talkin’ to ya!

    MWAH!

  • the Muse

    hi there Nadiah!

Aw shucks thanks hun! That means the world to me 🙂 glad you enjoy my Musings 🙂

I hope you find your HG concealer too!!!!!!!

I’ve never tried that L’Oreal before. I honestly try to dab but I sometimes end up rubbing 😉 I can’t help it as it never gets truly blended correctly if I don’t rub a little bit hehe!

    Thanks for your great comments!
    Hugs!

  • alyssa

aww…u r such a sweet girl..i luv talking to ya to bits too.. muaxXx!!

    I’m from Malaysia =)

No. We don’t have any CCOs here in M’sia =( so i guess i have to count that out cos i just realised that the palette is actually LE?

so other than the palette, which comes second best then?

  • the Muse

aww shucks *hugs* You are too!

Thanks…I always forget where everyone is from *blush*

It is but it’s also available on qvc so not so LE…would you like me to try to get one for you from here?

    LMK

Second best would be the bb creamy concealer..that’s really good as well and basically the same thing that’s inside the LE palette 🙂

  • alyssa

it’s ok dear, i don’t want to trouble anyone especially when u’re such a sweetheart to offer =)

i guess i’ll just settle with what we have in store here then, which is the creamy concealer kit.

Thx a lot for the advice

    Have a great day XD

  • the Muse

aww it’s my pleasure if you change your mind!

The creamy concealer kit with the powder?

    🙂 my pleasure hun!

Have a super day or night in your case!

    hug!

  • Chelley

Too many to read… D: Can you give me break and tell me which one is good for under eyes and blemishes? 😀

    • the Muse

hi chelley. pretty much all of ’em help with those issues.
