Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N 18 Bird Flutter Review & Swatches

Although I’ve reviewed Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color a few times already, I thought I’d haul out the very delightful, limited edition shade, Bird Flutter, for a swatch and a play today.

I’m obsessed with all things coral and peach particularly when Spring and Summer hit and this is a lovely shade of peachy coral that shouldn’t be missed. This shade is also one of the more vibrant ones I’ve seen in this range since the Jelly Eye Colors normally favor lighters shades of gold, pink, etc…

Jill Stuart Prism Carat Eye 001 Jill Stuart Prism Carat Eye Review, Swatches, Photos

Jill Stuart released five shades of her newest product, Prism Carat Eye, in Japan for Fall 2011 recently. I decided I absolutely needed a few of these since I happen to be a shimmer-a-holic and boy did these scream shimmer.

I started out with two but my best friend absolutely had to have one so I gifted him with it and later, after I completed this review, he ended up inheriting the other one as well as I simply didn’t end up liking the product and a club kid like him will make way better use of it than I will.

Brace yourself, you REALLY need to love shimmer to get on board with this one.

It’s been a little bit of time since my last Jill Stuart purchase. I find the collections and colors a bit repetitive however I was intrigued by their new Prism Carat Eye Shadow & Base Duo that released with their Fall 2011 Collection. I asked my best friend, who lives in Japan, to pick up two of these out of sheer curiosity!

Let’s take a look a the promo images until these arrive in my mailbox and I can review!

Jill Stuart Valentines Day Collection Heart Gloss Trio 1 Jill Stuart Valentines Day Collection Heart Gloss Trio Review, Swatches, Photos

Valentine’s Day is almost here! I’m not a big supporter or fan of the Holiday as I simply do not believe you need one day of the year to make someone you love feel special. Seriously? You should be making them feel that way all year round right?

But I’m all about makeup collections themed around the holiday! Seriously, V-Day Makeup Collections have so much potential, why are brands not cashing in on this cow?

This year, Jill Stuart brings a special Valentine’s Day Collection Heart Gloss Trio to Asia. I couldn’t resist having a friend pick it up for me.

Check it!

Jill Stuart Blush Blossom Dual Cheek Color 14 Jill Stuart Blush Blossom Dual Cheek Color Review and Swatches

Jill Stuart is a luxury brand of cosmetics that started out life exclusively in Japan and more recently spread across Asia. The bad news is the product I’m about to review for you is not available within the US, I got it from Japan, however the good news is some of the Jill Stuart Cosmetic Collection is sold in the Jill Stuart Soho store (details) if you get a craving for the brand after reading this post.

Those of you who have never heard of the brand can rewind back to 3 or 4 years ago when I first started Musings and read my Introduction to Japanese Brands to higher your education a little bit and check out my Jill Stuart Spotlight from my really strange MuseTV days.

Ahh the evolution of Jill Stuart blush. She started out loose, became a solid, and now she’s loose again! The new Jill Stuart Blush Blossom Dual Cheek Color is a compact form of Jill Stuart Loose Blush. It’s chic, it’s gorgeous, and it’s brand new for the Jill Stuart Fall Collection 2010.

Let’s take a look!

Beauty News: Jill Stuart Hits US Shores Buy Jill Stuart in the US

Here it is folks, the moment you’ve all been waiting for.  News on Jill Stuart Cosmetics!

A year or so ago the rumor of Jill Stuart Cosmetics was afloat during Fashion Week and how the flagship store located in New York would begin carrying the line.  This morning I read online that indeed Jill Stuart Cosmetics is available within the US at the Jill Stuart Store located in Manhattan.

Gasp.

Incredible right?

I called straight away as I don’t have time to wander over there today and here are the deets.

If you live in New York you can head to 100 Greene Street and touch, pet, and haul till your little heart beats right out of your chest.  If you live somewhere else in the US you can order from the store by calling them at (212) 343-2300 and paying a flat rate ground fee of around $15 to have them ship some yummie goodies your way.

I asked after a few of the prices and they are pretty reasonably priced and almost what you’d paid within Japan even a little bit less in some cases.  This is the color cosmetic line only that they carry and from what the sales girl told me it’s a limited amount of items but none the less it’s still Jill Stuart right?

Here’s the break down of a few prices:

Jill Stuart Eye Palettes $48
Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Creams $24
Jill Stuart Glosses $30

I only got a few prices as I’m sure the rep was busy at her job. I’ll head over there next chance I get to snag some photos and let you know further details. Fact of the matter is that Jill Stuart Cosmetics within the US is striking news for this sunny Fall afternoon. I’m hopeful this means it’ll branch out to high end counters at Nordies, Saks, and Neimen’s soon! I imagine it all depends on how the line does in the store itself.

Excited?

Go haul!

Don’t forget to check out my slew of Jill Stuart Reviews located here on Musings before making your purchases.
