New Facial Masks To Try

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

There are a slew of new facial masks launching at the drugstore for Spring 2017. Last year, we saw a bit of a trend developing when L’Oreal launched their mud masks! I’m still using the LOreal Pure-Clay Mask Exfoliate and Refine Pores, I kind of dig it even though I’m a sheet mask kind of girl!

Lately I’ve been multitasking a lot lately. Basically, my idea of multitasking is a little difference from the current trend you see. I’ve been using an exfoliating mask followed up with a hydrating sheet or cream mask directly after!

Anyway, if you’re as mask crazy as the rest of the beauty world! Here are some new ones to check out.

What Beauty Torture Tools or Devices Do You Use?

Do you have unusual beauty beauty torture tools or devices that you use daily or ones stashed away in a drawer that you never use anymore because they just HURT!

I don’t really have any that I use which hurt nor do I keep anything around that are just plain weird looking or a torture to use. Some of my friends cringe when I use an eyelash curler and question why I put myself through the misery. But I honestly, never felt like curling my lashes was a chore nor painful.

So, tell me about the torture devices you use to make yourself beautiful and tell me the ones you avoid using because they hurt! For example, I don’t like epilators. They are painful and I don’t get the point at all as hair grows back just as fast in my opinion when using them versus a razor.

Come to think of it there is one beauty tool that’s in my stash which I’ll never use aside from an epilator! It lays forgotten deep in my makeup graveyard.

Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Skin Tint A Potential New Beauty Trend

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Skin Tint ($39) is a new version of Philosophy’s beloved Hope in a Jar Moisturizer. This new water-gel formula apparently provides the buildable coverage of a foundation and is available in five shade selections. Feels like this could be a potential new beauty trend as earlier this month Clinique launched a new Pep-Start Hydro Rush Moisturizer that’s also tinted. So, you might be thinking, “But this isn’t really a new trend, we already have tinted moisturizers on the market!” I completely agree but it seems like these formulas are ACTUAL moisturizers with a tint. For example, I love Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer but I never considered it a real moisturizer and I’ve always applied moisturizer under it prior. Likewise, for most tinted moisturizers. I’d never actually depend on a tinted moisturizer for hydration because most are very subtle in the moisture department. I just think of them as a light, sheer coverage versus an actual moisturizer!

These newer launches do appear to be handing your more moisture and also a tint. But I question whether they work or not. I mean I’m not sure how comfortable I am slathering myself in a moisturizer that provides buildable coverage. Why? Because I’m pretty liberal when applying moisturizer because, hey, I have dry skin. And I’m also pretty light with my foundation, so yeah, see my dilemma?

None the less, I’m curious!

What do you think about these new tinted moisturizers?

Do share!

Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Skin Tint is available now at Ulta.com and at Sephora.com.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist Yasss!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Did you ever smell your favorite makeup product like say Guerlain Meteorites and proceed to really, really want a perfume or fragrance mist with that scent (Guerlain actually did have one many years ago!)? I experience this all the time! I’d kill for a Physicians Formula Argan Wear Blush perfume. Those blushes smell amazing! I’d totally be down with wearing a fragrance mist that smells like that!

For fans of Sol de Janeiro that dream is becoming a reality. Today the brand released their new Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist and guess how it smells? Exactly like the brand’s beloved body line and cult favorite, Brazilian Bum Bum Cream! Notes of pistachio and salted caramel create an exotic, tropical treat that can be misted on your body and hair!

An 8.1 oz bottle is $32 and available now at Sephora.com.

I’m totally indulging! I could use a nice Spring break scent to get me in the mood for the warmer weather ahead.
