Bare Minerals The Sexy Neutrals Ready Palette

The Bare Minerals The Sexy Neutrals Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 Palette is one of three palettes that Bare Minerals introduced for Spring 2015. As you already know I’m a huge fan of Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow Palettes so I was happy to hear they had three “new” ones in the works for Spring. However, there was some disappointment for me because many of the shades in the new palettes are repromoted colors.

For example, the Bare Minerals The Sexy Neutrals Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 Palette has a lot of the same colors that launched with the Bare Minerals Nude Beach Ready Eyeshadow Palette! I tried two of three Spring palettes and I thought that the color variations were somehow better this time around for some reason. But really, no matter how you look at it, Ready 8.0 Eyeshadows are divine and one of my very favorite eyeshadow formulations.

Take a look!

The Bare Minerals The Sexy Neutrals Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 Palette comes in a bronze mirrored case with eight shades of Bare Mineral Ready Eyeshadow as well as a double ended brush. Some of the shades in the Nude Beach Palette were quite frosty and you’ll get a bit of frosty with this palette as well but also soft, velvety textured shadows with excellent pigmentation and great where. The texture of Ready Eyeshadows is divine with a hybrid-like formula that’s a powder but has the rich consistency of a cream!

The Nude Beach Ready Eyeshadow Palette launched on QVC for Summer 2014. This palette contains four of the shades that are in the new Bare Minerals the Sexy Neutrals Palette which are Nude Beach, Pure, in the Buff, and Natural. Now if you already have Nude Beach that could prove disappointing as that means you’ll have four new shades and four repromoted colors you may already own. If you don’t have Nude Beach, well, you’re in for a treat because the Sexy Neutrals is quite a lovely sandy palette with complimentary shades of peach, taupe, bronze, and creams to create that perfect beach friendly look!

Shades include:

  • Hot Commodity (metallic medium copper)
  • Nude Beach (light warm sand)
  • Bare Skin (copper rose)
  • Pure (light airy peach)
  • In The Buff (light golden peach)
  • Natural (light buttery peach)
  • Perspective (deep espresso)
  • Celebrate (yellow cream)

The palette actually contains several mattes as well as satiny velvet shades so you get a wide range of colors. I find I have to be a little careful with Ready Eyeshadows as they can be frosty and this palette does have a few frostier shades but it honestly doesn’t take too much away from the incredible formula and the shades are blendable enough you can easily rid yourself of the frosty finish.

When I tried the Posh Neutral Palette (also new for Spring) vs the Affair to Remember Palette I instantly felt like the shades jived and contrasted better in the Posh Neutral Palette. Although there were repromoted shades here I thought that the Posh Neutral Palette actually improved upon the Affair to Remember. This isn’t the case with the Sexy Neutrals Palette vs the Nude Beach Palette. I actually feel both performed the same and have a lot of the same colors that it’s easy enough to skip it because both palettes create the same look. I actually suggested it was worth buying the Posh Neutral Palette if you already owned the Affair to Remember Palette because, again, I felt the colors were coordinated better in the Posh Neutral Palette. However, in the case of the Sexy Neutrals Palette I think it creates the same looks easily that you can already get from the Nude Beach Palette if you own it.

On the other hand….

If you’re one of the folks that missed out on the Nude Beach Palette this is your chance to get it! The Sexy Neutrals is very much like it with an assortment of beautiful shades for Spring and Summer looks with an excellently formulated eyeshadow.

Do I wish Bare Minerals released new Ready Eyeshadow Palettes with eight new shades? Yes! But I think it is great that they did choose to repromote and showcase some of the shades from Nude Beach as not a lot of people knew of it since it was available for such a short time. Disappointing for those of us that did get but very exciting for those of us who didn’t as you can now get your hands on some of the shades from that palette plus a few new ones.

In the end, Bare Minerals continues to please with Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow Palettes. These are some of my favorite palettes and I look forward to their release! More please.

I have this! I like it but the dark brown shade is just SO dark compared to the rest that it feels like an off choice for inclusion. A slightly lighter shade would’ve been better to me considering how light the rest of the palette is.

i think they meant it as a liner which is ok but I so rarely use dark matte shades like that to line with, I prefer pencils or pot liners.

I love the peachy shades. Pair them with a teal liner and it’s summer time.

I already had all of the original palettes and some of the replacements in these palettes were released in other palettes that I have so all of these were an easy pass for me. I’m not a huge ready fan but I did like the original palettes of these neutrals.

I love the bareMinerals products too – as I own the Playlist – which is THE most jewelled palette they have come out with. But I find this palette has way too many pinks in it for me. With red hair/fair (and slightly reddish) complexion – it does not work. However I would say that it would suit you Isabella.

I’ve had this palette for the last month and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s my favorite eyeshadow palette of all time……… I have a pretty nice collection of BM Ready eyeshadows, but this is by far my favorite right now, and I use it all the time. For me, it’s perfect.. simple, classy, minimal, elegant, natural, understated.
