Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer Review & Swatches
Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer ($20) is a new, permanent serum concealer which promises high coverage in an ultra light formula that conceals dark circles and other imperfections. It’s formulated with high-def mineral optics to counteract dark shadows and give eyes a more brighter appearance as well as hydrating humectants to leave skin nourished and hydrated.
Serum concealers are having their moment in the spotlight lately with even Sephora getting in on the game! It doesn’t surprise me considering serum foundations had a little bit of a trend over the course of the last few years. I’m actually not a fan of serum foundation as they feel slick and oily to me. You’d think as someone with drier skin I’d like serum foundation but nope, not for me! But I had to qualms about trying out serum concealer as my eyes are as dry as the Sahara Desert no bring it!
Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer is a take on Bare Minerals Bare Skin Serum Foundation which left me a little doubtful about the formula since I didn’t love the foundation.
Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer is going to be a win for users of NARS Creamy Concealer and Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer as the consistencies of all three are spot on identical. This formula is very creamy, very moist and easy to blend out, and feels much like NARS and UD’s formulation.
I do think that “Bare Skin” can be deceiving as it is an item that is fairly obvious on skin. I wouldn’t say you’re looking at a second skin or bare skin finish here as it is rather thick and although it sheers out it seems to set to almost a satiny finish so yeah, not so much bare skin. Coverage is quite good with excellent pigmentation to mask darker circles while brightening the eye area up. If you’re anything like me the high-def mineral optics might have worried you! I automatically think glitter or a luminous finish but this has neither but still manages to brighten up the eye area up quite nicely. This wears for around seven hours before showing minor fading and doesn’t crease into my finer lines during that time frame.

I think for me this is a far superior formula compared to Urban Decay’s Naked Skin which didn’t quite sit well on my skin and NARS Creamy Concealer which applied pigmented but blended out sheerer. The consistency is lovely and quite pleasant to use, apply, and blend. I wish it remained a little more moist as it set since right now it feels more satiny in finish but none the less it didn’t feel or appear dry under my already drier eyes.
I didn’t love Bare Minerals Bare Skin Serum Foundation but you can go ahead and get my like on Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer! This one provides excellent coverage in a creamy formula that blends easily, brightens up eyes, and gives the appearance of some much needed rest.
