Typically Inner Rim Eyeliners Don’t Work But Maybe Sephora Can Redeem That!

Sephora Contour Inner Rim Gel Eyeliner

For me Urban Decay Perversion is one of my favorites for lining my inner rim. It’s blacker than black formula looks incredible plus it wears fairly long for me. When I want my waterline makeup to wear long and strong I use my best kept gel eyeliner secret to keep it on all day but Perversion typically does the trick for me!

But there are brands that have tried to convince me that I need a special eyeliner exclusively for use on my waterline. Urban Decay’s 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil and Tarte Amazonian Clay Tightlining Eyeliner come to mind and neither of which really impressed me.

Now we have Sephora Contour Inner Rim Gel Eyeliner! Inner Rim eyeliners don’t work for but maybe Sephora’s formula can redeem that….!

The good news? Sephora Contour Inner Rim Gel Eyeliner are eight bucks each so if they don’t work you aren’t losing too mich!

These are specially formulated for waterline use and promise a long wear with a waterproof formula that will stay in place for hours on end according to Sephora. Plus the creamy gel texture provides an easy, smooth glide on your waterline!

Shades:

  • Fawn Over me (brown)
  • Queen Of the Nile (black)
  • Wide Eyed (nude)
  • Ice Ice Baby (shimmer white)
  • Mermaid Hair Don’t Care (light blue)
  • No Shrinking Violet (violet)

I’m keeping hope alive that someone finally created a decent waterline eyeliner!

If it weren’t for a tweet about this product, I’d have never know about it. I have a hell of a time getting loner to stay in my waterline. At some point I wind up with eye boogers the color of the liner I put on. So not cute. So I’m with on hoping beyond hope that these actally work. Would be a new holy grail product if they do.

haha sorry everything else was a blur except eye booger LOL!

I’ve had great luck with Sephora contour pencils. Excited about these.

If these don’t work, try Pixi eyeliners!!!! Seriously- they don’t move. I’ve accidentally touched the liner to my contact lens and ruined the contact lens!!!! I try to rub it off, soaked it overnight and still couldn’t get the liner smudge off my contact!!!!

These didn’t work for me unfortunately. It reminded me of the Urban Decay one. I am still on the hunt to find the best water line eyeliner. So far the new Makeup For Ever Aqua XL eyeliners are the best but still not perfect.

ugh that sucks! I know UD’s are just painful!

I have two of them and they didn’t work 🙁 But my L’Oréal gel liner still does it for me.

So far, nothing has ever stayed on my wet waterline, but will have to give these a try!

I actually bought the nude Wide Eyed one before I saw your post. I only line my bottom inner rim/waterline with a nude/beige color and am still on the hunt for my HG. When I first tried this, the tip was hard and pokey and hurt to apply. I had to swipe it on my hand a few times before I got past the outer layer and it’s been creamy since. When it is first applied, there’s a tacky feel, and I can almost feel it sticking to my eye ball. It’s irritating because it feels like something is in your eye but I had hopes that it meant it was REALLY sticking to my waterline. Alas, it does not. I don’t know how long it takes to fade because I don’t check the mirror that often, but it is the fastest fading I’ve tried and I’ve only tried two others: Tarte’s inner rim liner and the Chella (sp?) highlighter pencil that I received in an Ipsy bag. Chella’s has lasted the longest but I hate having to sharpen; Tarte’s doesn’t contain much product and I went through it too quickly. The search continues…!

I bought queen of the Nile and you know what? HG status. UD has never stayed on me and I’ve been through almost all other brands at some point but I tight lined my upper waterline this morning and it hasn’t moved at all. I wasn’t expecting much but the black shade is actually amazing. Worth a try for 8 with sephora’s return policy anyway.
