Etude House Dumbo Moistfull Collagen Facial Stick Review
The Etude House DumbMoistfull Collagen Facial Stick is a limited edition Disney collaboration featuring art work from Dumbo that was released in Korean earlier last month. As you may already know from reading my Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream Jumbo Dumbo, it’s Dumbo’s anniversary (as well as Etude House’s Moistfull Skincare Collection) and in honor of that Etude House did special edition packaging on all their Moistfull Skincare that features the endearing Dumbo. I can’t say I’m a Dumbo fan but I am a huge fan of cute packaging and the entire Moistfull Collection!
The idea and concept of facial stick is pretty common and over the years I’ve featured many, many reviews on sticks like these such as the Skin Food Facial Ice Vita Cooling Stick, Tony Moly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick, E.L.F. Studio Daily Moisture Stick, Milk Makeup Cooling Water, DuWop Flight Stick, and Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil Stick.
Nowadays the facial stick seems to have evolved and you’ll come across plenty of primer sticks, cleanser sticks, and exfoliating sticks. But prior to all that Korea and Japan were some of the first markets to introduce us to cooling, moisturizing sticks. These are pretty nifty as you can travel with them and apply on the go. They also come in handy when you travel a lot as they are idea for applying on an airplane as we all know how stale and drying the air during a flight. They aren’t a replacement for your regular moisturizer by any means but they are great to add light hydration on targeted areas of your face particularly under eyes or cheeks or even down the sides of your nose when you have a cold as that area for me always gets dry and cracked when I have a cold.
The Etude House Dumbo Moistfull Collagen Facial Stick is a special edition, limited design. It isn’t a big jumbo size like the Moistful Collagen Cream! It’s actually the same 0.49 oz size as the permanent Collagen Facial Stick that Etude House carries. It’s just the packaging that’s different. This features a cute outer box with Dumbo and Timothy Q with the actual barrel of the tube featuring Dumbo in all his cute, bashful glory. The stick has a light fragrance which shouldn’t be too much of an issue for sensitive users. It has a cool, refreshing feel and is pretty dense but lightly softens during application. You can smooth it anywhere on your face you want to add a little lightweight moisture. Typically I apply it under my eyes before applying my eye cream. I also stash facial sticks like this in my desk drawer and apply them under my eyes as the day progresses to waken up my drier eyes a little bit. Right now I have a cold and I’m blowing my nose constantly which means the sides of my nose are pretty dry, flaky, and red. I smooth a little bit of the stock down the sides of my nose to add moisture to the area! It’s not the end all moisture solution that’s for sure but it is a heck of a lot convenient than actually sitting around applying cream moisturizer. And it’s not like we have the option to reapply our favorite moisturizer when we’re filling a little dry throughout the day which is why a stick like this is pretty handy! No mess, instant light moisture!
The Etude House Dumbo Moistfull Collagen Facial Stick is around for a limited time but don’t worry the actual Moistfull Collagen Facial Stick is around permanently but if you’re a fan of Dumbo I’m sure you’ll want this little guy!
A variety of ebay.com sellers now have the Etude House Dumbo Moistfull Collagen Facial Stick available if you’re wanting it after this review!
