Covergirl Peach Punch Highlighter Palette Review and Swatches

Covergirl Peach Punch Highlighter Palette ($10) is a new bronzer, blush, and highlighter palette that launched with the new Covergirl Peaches & Chocolate Collection for Summer 2018. This is Covergirl’s little nod to the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette which launched back in 2016. I wouldn’t say the shades are a dupe but the idea is pretty much the same as both palettes contain a blush, highlighter, and bronzer. I do love the Too Faced one so I was eager to try out the Covergirl one as well!

Let’s take a look at my review below.

Covergirl Peach Punch Highlighter Palette comes housed in a cute peach decorated palette that holds three powders which total 0.23 oz. The Covergirl Peach Punch Eyeshadow Palette has a little slipcover with a peach design but the actual palette is the new stark white design that the entire brand’s collection now embraces. I do wish the eyeshadow palette was as cutely designed as the highlighter palette! It has a soft, subtle peachy scent that I found very pleasant but did disappear quickly after application.

As with the shadow palettes in this collection the powders have a slurry-like formula which is very soft, creamy, and silky in texture. It almost feels like a cross between a powder and a cream formula. The highlighter was actually one of my favorite things about the palette and reminded me of the pretty highlighter from the Maybelline Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette. I’m not typically a big fan of highlighter but the combination of all three powders really produces a very nice effect. The highlighter is a very subtle iridescent cream peach which applies very easily and blends out beautifully without having chunks of glitter of shimmer. It adds a very, very soft focused glow to my face.

The blush has quite lovely as well as the bronzer. Both have a soft, silky texture that applies smooth with plenty of pigment. Use a lighter touch with the blush as it applies quite strongly. If you want to add a little warmth to the blush you can swirl your brush in both the bronzer and blush. I’m not entirely sure but it appears the blush shade is a the same as Peach Punch Blush (120) which also launched with this collection.

I don’t think the bronzer itself will work much as a contouring tool but it does add a nice touch of warm to my skin and I enjoyed using it combined with the blush as it added a nice touch of warmth to my complexion.

All in all, the Covergirl Peach Punch Highlighter Palette is a cute palette with plenty of pigment, a great soft, silky texture, plus it adds a pretty peachy glow to skin!

Where to buy

Walmart

Covergirl Peach Punch Highlighter Palette is a $10 palette that’s available exclusively at Walmart and contains a highlighter, blush, and bronzer. The formula has a hybrid texture that’s commonly referred to as a “slurry” with a lightly creamy powder texture that has excellent pigment and an easy to blend formula. It gave me a very pretty peachy glow!

Pros

  • Not a dupe but quite a nice affordable option for those who want to get their hands on the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette.
  • Soft, silky, pigmented, and easy to blend formula.
  • Perfect for those who like cute makeup options.

Cons

  • The peach scented might be a turn off for sensitive users.
  • Only sold at Walmart at the moment (hopefully it becomes available at other retailers!? But looks like it is Walmart exclusively right now).

Who

This is a pretty nice palette that should be appealing for lovers of peach makeup or those seeing a fresh glow for the warmer Summer weather. It’s also a pretty easy pick up for those who like cuter makeup packaging and novel makeup.

Excellent on you, subtle. Looks like more expensive product. Cos are making nice hybrid formulas these days, and I think some of that is due to the ColourPop SSS success.

Just to let every know, I found this at CVS!!! So I guess CVS is getting them too! I didn’t see the eyeshadows, just this

AWESOME! The press launch made it seem like walmart was exclusively getting the blushes, bronzer, and highlighter and everywhere else would get the shadow palettes!

I really like the shades chosen for the highlighter and blush, but I think the bronzer looks a little orangey to me, but I maybe wrong about that.
It’s a great product for those who want to have a bit of everything and it won’t break the bank. Shame about the scent though.

it is a bit but if you mix the blush/bronzer it really adds nice warmth ;-D
