Revlon Electric Shock Summer 2018

Revlon Electric Shock for Summer 2018 is a nice, limited edition colorful selection of lipsticks, lipglosses, and highlighters. Revlon isn’t exactly know for creating colorful collections but since the introduction of the Color Charge Spring 2018 Collection they seem to have turned over a new leaf.

The Revlon Color Charge Collection was shocking release not only because it was colorful but also because there were SO many great shades in this collection that I really loved like Up in the Clouds Super Lustrous Lipgloss, Dream in Nude Super Lustrous Lipgloss, and Revlon Blank Canvas Super Lustrous Lipstick.

It was just a surprise how many great shades came out of this launch and I’m hoping for more of the same from the Electric Shock Collection. At first I actually thought Revlon was repromoting some of the shades from the Spiderman Collection due to the Electric Shock name as there was a shade of Super Lustrous Lipgloss called Electric Shock in that launch but nope, these are all new shades.

The more subtle part of this launch is the Revlon Electric Shock Highlighting Powder ($10.49) which is available in four shade selections. This is a limited edition highlighter that contains light reflecting luminescent pearls to add a gorgeous glow to skin.

Next up we have the Revlon Electric Shock Lipstick ($7.69) and Revlon Electric Shock Lip Lacquer ($7.69). This is where things get interesting! I’ve never seen a blue or green lipstick from Revlon before but in this collection that’s exactly what you’re getting. There are some interesting shades in this launch.

It seems like the norm lately for Maybelline and L’Oreal to throw in some alternative shades like purples, blues, and greens. Nice to see Revlon catching up to that trend. I think we’re going to see a lot of more colorful options at the drugstore this Summer.

What do you think of the Revlon Electric Shock Collection?

I can see myself looking through some of the glosses and lipsticks in the hopes of discovering some gorgeous gem.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I like this! Finally some fun, vibrant colors for Summer. Yeah. Hope it’s easy to find. The drugstores around me have been seriously slacking in their products lately. Hardly anyone had the WNW collection so I hope this is more widely available.

This collection reminds me a lot of their Street Wear collection from the late 90’s as I recall? (I was in middle school). I remember owning a bright blue lipstick and a few polishes from that collection. I get a similar vibe

I just got a bunch in the mail today and WOA! The highlighters feel like butter and the lipsticks are super pigmented. 100 Watts is almost 95% similar to MAC Ionized Iris, but more pigmented, and ironically smells like s MAC lipstick…
I haven’t tried the glosses yet, but out of the tube they look more thinly textured/pigmented kind a liquid lipstick.
    Definitely not your normal Revlon!

I bought the Revlon electric shock lipstick and love it! I think Ulta over prices Revlon, Maybelline, Covergirl, etc. when they don’t have a buy one get one half price which makes it about the same as Wal mart and targets regular price. Apparently, only Ulta is stocking this summer edition.
