Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color review and swatches

I just need every single shade of Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color right now please. I love, love, love this formula and just want to buy all the shades.

I have to admit it’s a refreshing change to see everyone going glossy lately. Thank god because the endless round of long-wear liquid lipsticks with matte finishes is a trend that needs to die as soon as possible please. Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick and L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick are two such formulas putting an end to matte lipsticks everywhere! I hope to see more as Fall approaches!

Speaking about Fall the shades I selected in the Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color range are totally give me autumn vibes.

Have a look!

Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color ($9) is available in 12 shades selections and is a hybrid formula that has the pigment and color pay off lipstick, the formula and texture of a liquid lipstick, and the shine of a gloss.

This lip color has a thick, creamy texture that applies very smooth and evenly courtesy the applicator which is a doe foot with a slant right in the middle that fits the contour of your lips beautifully and allows for flawless application. I detected no fragrance or flavor in the formula and it’s made in the USA.

This formula has a slight tackiness which wasn’t uncomfortable. It’s quite a heavy formula but again, not an uncomfortable one. The formula has a nice shine during the initial application which sets to more of a satin as the wear progresses. It felt quite moisturizing on my drier lips and gave them a fuller appearance with excellent coverage on a single application. I experienced no issues with migration nor feathering and the formula wore for five hours without the color fading or moving.

I can’t rave these enough! Milani did an excellent job with the formula, texture, wear, finish, and pigment. Not to mention the price is quite sweet especially if you can snag them during a Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off sale! But if I’m honest, I’d totally pay $18 for a formula like this. It’s just that good.

Anyone try Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color?

Ulta Milani

Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color is 0.1 oz in size, $9, and available in 12 shade selections. I really loved this formula. It’s creamy, thick, and moisturizing with a long-wear of five plus hours with an easy to apply formula that adheres very nicely to my lips with a slight tackiness. The lip color provides opaque color on a single application and color stays put without migration or feathering while leaving lips looking fuller. It has a slight shine finish that wears away within the first hour to a smooth satin one.

  • Anyone who’s done with matte lipsticks.
  • Anyone seeking a highly pigmented liquid lipstick that wears long and strong without drying lips out.
  • Anyone looking for an inexpensive lip color that feels very high end.

  • Not quite as shiny as advertised.

If you’re over all the long-wearing liquid lipsticks with a matte finish you’ll get on quite well with this moisturizing formula that still has the great pigment of a liquid lipsticks but not the dry matte finish!

Got a couple of these recently, they are everything you said Muse. Love them. And like you I’m glad to see more options other than matte recently. I’ve tried a couple of matte formulas in the last few months and…nope. Just no. My lips looked shrink wrapped. But there’s room in the makeup world for all formulas so love the lippie you’re with!

    • Isabella Muse

yay glad you love ’em too! Yeah me too! I just can’t with mattes! haha too true! cheers to that!

  • Nicole

Wow, these colors are gorgeous and they all look lovely on you. Do I need another lip gloss? No.
But will I be buying one of these? Yes!

  • GraceP

How would you compare those with Nars velvet lip glide? I quite enjoy the Nars ones. Thank you.

    • Isabella Muse

quite similiar a little thicker and a lightly tacky but I don’t experience with velvet lip glide! My pleasure!

  • Jane

I think the ones you’re wearing in the top two pics are two of the best lip colors I’ve ever seen on you!

I have never tried this brand before, but I’m always reading your reviews even though I don’t write too many comments (I hope that doesn’t make me some kind of stalker :’D )
Anyway, yesterday I got the chance to go to the US and saw this in a store so I got “#09 Idol” and I have to say.. I LOVED IT! It’s such a pretty pink <3 I'm always looking for pink lipies or glosses (hate matte), but there's always something I don't like. "Too pinkish", "this is more like a baby pink", don't like the formula, etc. but with this ones…

It is very smooth and like you said, it moisture your lips wonderfully (I have dry lips too).
It is very long lasting (I put it on like at 1pm and at 10pm I still got some on).
About the smell I got some, but I don't really know what it was, maybe from the same product?
By the way I noticed something and I don't know if it's normal. When I put it on I felt some kind of tingling on my lips, but after.. what? 5 – 10 minutes? it disappear.

    Now I wish I have bought more!!! It's such a shame that here in my country they don't sell this brand 🙁 !! They really are so pretty!! ; – ;

Hi Gina! Oh my gosh no! not a stalker at all but thank you reading! I appreciate it so much! I’m so GLAD you like these! Yes, I get that too! Oddly enough I get that with all Milani lipglosses/lipsticks. It’s weird. It disappears for me within seconds but it it is indeed a small tingle! Aww 🙁 sorry to hear it!

Hey there! I found these at Walmart (along with the two new eyeshadow pallets for fall), and I really like they look. The variety of colors is really good, too. I ended up buying Idol, Passion and Foxy. I am so glad that non matte Lippies are making a comeback! P.S. The 2 new 12 color pallets, Soft and Sultry and Pure Passion, are now on sale at Walmart and are selling for only $14.95. These newest products from Milani are AWESOME

    • Isabella Muse

Yay! Glad you love ;-D The new eyeshadow palettes are amazingggggg!
