Too Faced Tutti Frutti Frosted Fruits Highlighter Stick ($30) in Strawberry Sparkle is one of two sparkling, scented cream highlighter sticks that recently launched with the Tutti Frutti Makeup Collection.

I know, I know, I’m always saying I’m not a highlighter girl but here I am purchasing a highlighter stick. How awful am I? I honestly couldn’t resist this one because promo images made it look amazing and would you believe it is amazing as it looks?

I think the promo images for the Tutti Frutti Collection thus far have been very inaccurate but they hit the nail on the head with the Too Faced Tutti Frutti Frosted Fruits Highlighter Stick with Strawberry Sparkle. I mean, it looks a bit lighter and more NARS Orgasm-like in photos online but at least the general idea of the sparkly, golden shade are fairly accurate. This is a stunning golden strawberry pink that I’m currently in LOVE with and considering getting a back of. I’m just so damn in love with the color! The shade reminded me of a sparkly version of NARS Loves Me Blush. I haven’t yet but I’m looking forward to combing the two together in a look!

Too Faced Tutti Frutti Frosted Fruits Highlighter Stick is 0.35 oz in size and arrives in a twist up chunky barrel that has a cute strawberry motif packaging. The highlighter has an amazing strawberry gum flavor that’s very strong. I swear I wanted to just bite off a piece of it! It smells so damn good. This isn’t great for sensitive users since it is stronger and it does have a stronger scent during application which did disappear after I blended it. Thus far this is probably the item that smells the strongest from the collection.

I used it as an all over blush in my photos in this review which I don’t recommend since it’s very, very slick and dewy with a lot of sparkle. It has a very slick, thin, creamy texture with some super micro-shimmer that will give you a discoball finish if you aren’t careful (as you can see in my look). It’s a lot of shimmer to say the least. It blends really easily and has a very dewy texture and look on my drier skin with a pretty sparkly glow. With the texture being so slick it felt like the color seems to separated from the shimmer as I applied it but once I blended things seemed to come together. I’d recommend not applying directly from the stick but instead dip a smaller fiber brush into the stick and brush it on. It’ll give you more control over the product and also, it’ll sheer out and cast more of a glow versus the harder shimmer I got when I applied directly onto my face from the stick.

It has pigment that’s for sure so if you wanna wear it as a blush you can but since it contains so much shimmer it might not be a great idea to do so. I think it looks nicest if you apply a dab of cheek skin and swirl a brush into the highlighter and buff into skin for a pretty sparkly glow.

Not everyone is going to like this one due to the sheer amount of shimmer it has but I really, really enjoyed it! I sort of wish it was released a few weeks ago as it’s a perfect dewy sparkly glow for Summer looks! I haven’t tried it yet but I think I might want to swipe it on my lids and see how it goes!

Where to buy

Ulta Too Faced

Too Faced Tutti Frutti Frosted Fruits Highlighter Stick is one of two cream highlighters available exclusively at Ulta for $30 each and 0.35 oz in size. I thought the formula was very creamy with a thin, slick texture that glided onto my drier skin easily without adhering to drier areas. The finish was very dewy and shimmery and the stick was pigmented enough to act as a blush but worked best as a highlighter. All in all, a very easy to work with formula that had a very lovely texture and finish!

Pros

  • This gets you gorgeous dewy sparkly glow skin!
  • Beautiful, unique golden strawberry pink shade!
  • Yummy scent makes you want to eat it up!
  • Great texture that feels hydrating and glides onto skin easily.
  • Blends beautifully!

Cons

  • Sensitive users might be irritated by the strong, sweet scent
  • Not for shimmer haters.
  • Very sparkly so heavy handed users will want to go lightly with this formula.
  • Very dewy, might make oily skin look shiny.

This is sooo my kind of color… Did it ever set or did it stay tacky?? I’m always weary of cream products because I’m so oily. It could be great as a blush base on hot days…

likewise! I LOVE shades like this. I didn’t set it so it remained quit dewy through my wear. You def have to be careful with this formula as it runs a bit slicker. I think a good solution is apply it with a brush! It’s a lot less dewy that way 😀

Wow, that is really, really pretty! It’s not something I would have even given a second look at, but seeing your review and photos, now I’m thinking I need one, too! That is really pretty!!! And if it doesn’t contain carmine, I might even be tempted to use it on my eyes as well!

It’s a beautiful shade and I would be tempted to use it as a blush, but the scent would put me off.
