My Favorite Holiday 2018 Gift Set

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Every single year one of the first purchases I make for Holiday 2018 is typically the larger bulky Tarte Holiday Palettes and the Too Faced ones. Why? Because they are very popular picks and many people like reading reviews and seeing swatches of them on the blog. For the past few years, those purchases aren’t really a purchase for me but more of an essential purchase for the blog. The reason is obvious I think. These collections are simply not that great! Although, I will say Too Faced is doing very well this year.

I’m telling you this because I want to share with you the first Holiday set I always buy for MYSELF and not necessarily the blog 🙂

One of my first Holiday Collections almost every year, along with those bulky palettes, is the Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Set ($39). Sometimes Laura releases two sets, sometimes one, but I typically always buy it because the creamy Caviar Sticks are so fantastic. These are always creamy, pigmented, easy to apply, and I end up actually using them all up every year either as a base for other shadows or alone for an easy look! This year the Shadows & Lights Mini Caviar Stick Collection includes the following shades:

  • Rose Gold
  • Amethyst
  • Moonlight
  • Au Naturel

It’s truly one of my Holiday hits and I never regret indulging!

If you’re looking for a nice round up of creamy eyeshadows that are easy to apply and blend this set is for you!

Who loves Caviar Sticks? 🙂

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. A T reader said Kiko also makes good sticks. IDR if you reviewed. Must look. This year’s LM are ‘intense,’ by name. I think that means more sparkly. My prob is that LM (or S) duplicates colors that I’ve already scored as S 100 pointers. These are great and very easy.

they are! I haven’t reviewed them but I actually own almost all of the shades haha ;-D I don’t mind! I tend to use up the minis fast! ;D

I love these! They are so easy and for me they last all day. I was pleasantly surprised. You should do a review when you buy them.

Oh I already got them but I failed at getting a review up sorry ;-D will try to do that shortly!

Thank you for enabling me, Muse. I’ve never tried a Laura Mercier product that I didn’t love!

I do love the Caviar Sticks. I have (Or have had) most of the colors. I just finished a full size Amethyst & am getting to the end of Cocoa & Plum (I use them with an angled brush to line.).
I do wish they would put in at least a couple new color with the sets. I have a mini Aubergine & Ganache from a couple of years ago, that I love & I wish for a full size version of them. I won’t get this set because A) I have the colors B) I decided that the term “Intense” just meant more glitter, too.
