Urban Decay Game of Thrones White Walker Lipstick Review & Swatches
Urban Decay Game of Thrones White Walker Vice Lipstick ($18) is a new, limited edition lipstick shade inspired by the villains in Game of Thrones called the White Walkers. This shade is one of four that Urban Decay and probably the most dramatic and boldest of all the shades. If you want some lighter and fresher I highly recommend checking out the Sansa Stark Vice Lipstick shade! It’s a delightful nude peach that’s perfect for Spring looks!
But if drama’s your game you should jump ahead!
And I hear a bunch of fans sobbing about the the fact that the shade isn’t called the The Night King and it isn’t blue in color! WHY, Urban Decay, WHY!? I’m not bothered by the fact it isn’t blue to be honest as I really can’t wear blue lipstick maybe purple lipstick but blue I’m iffy on 🙂
White Walkers are one of the biggest threats for the people of Westeros and if theories prove correct maybe by the time the books and the TV series end we’ll all be in a state of perpetual winter making the White Walkers the winner in our game.
If you’re not familiar with White Walkers their appearance is one of a skeletal-like being with ice blue skin. They have the look of Winter, ice, and snow! I think most people expect Urban Decay to take that look and roll with it by creating a blue lipstick and many a blue eyeshadow. The Walkers shades are pretty accurately portrayed in the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette but the White Walker Vice Lipstick isn’t quite one envisions when thinking of our friendly villains. The packaging on the lipstick’s outer box and barrel is a cracked ice design.
White Walker is a deep burgundy wine with a satin finish that appears shiny on my lips. It glides on very easily onto my drier lips but the coverage can be a little iffy as it applies a little patchy and you need to run across it a few times to get the best finish. It feels lightly hydrating on my lips and didn’t have any fragrance or flavor. I disliked shades like this as I don’t wear lipliner and they tend to creep around my lip line during application and run outside the area making me look like I smeared my lipstick every which way from Sunday. The color is very bold, intense, and it is pigmented but like I said, you really need to go over it a few times to get it fully opaque without looking patchy. It wears for a good five hours but it does creep around my lip line a good deal. Once it wears away it leaves behind a stain.
This doesn’t really embody the White Walkers by any means but if you like vampy lip shades it might be one you’ll want! Especially if you’re Team Night King!
