It Cosmetics Confidence in Your Beauty Sleep arrives today for Spring 2020 and I gotta admit I was excited about this launch. I don’t like the original Confidence in A Cream because I just never felt like it did much for me! I did really enjoy It Cosmetics Confidence in a Gel Lotion though so, that’s something right?

“Confidence In” has become a brand all its own at this point. There’s Confidence in a Foundation, Confidence in an Eye Cream, etc…etc…! The only thing we were truly missing was a night cream and that’s exactly what It Cosmetics Confidence Confidence In Your Beauty Sleep is.

I’ve been personally trying to find a new anti-aging night cream and this sounded interesting when I ran across the blurb on Instagram but sadly, there’s a major issue.

Ok, so…! The original formula contains citrus fragrance and oils and I was willing to overlook these things to try Confidence In Your Beauty Sleep. This does away with the citrus oils but sadly, not the fragrance which again I could deal with but it does also, contain alcohol denat. If that’s an ingredient you’re avoiding this might not be for you! In defense of the formula the alcohol is about sixth ingredient on the list but still, it’s in there.

Most of the formula is made up of emollient oils and thickening agents which will likely make your skin feel hydrated and dewy. According to the brand the formula helps to reinforce the skin barrier and contains adenosine that helps provide long-lasting hydration plus Hyaluronic Acid (sadly, very low on the ingredient list). It also contains lactic acid which would be great to gently exfoliate skin but again, it too, is lower on the list of ingredients (almost the last one!).

I think I might like the idea of It Cosmetics Confidence in Your Beauty Sleep more than I like the actual product after studying the ingredients a bit.

What do you think of this formula?

ETOH plus volatile fragrance oils, way too high. Nah. In one of the new Jart Cica products, all the centella is at the drop dead bottom of the list. Good thing we learned to read.

Not wowed by the formula. dimthicone is the 2nd ingredient, and it can be problematic in that quantity, at least for me. Plus the ETOH? Newp. this looks like a hard pass for me. Which is good, b/c I do NOT need another night cream! 😀

The CC foundation is my hg & I do love the most of the makeup, but the Confidence line has never impressed me, so I’ve been ignoring the new releases.

the confidence skincare really failed me. I do like the lotion but the eye cream, the cleanser, the moisturizer, all mehs! I do like the Confidence Glow.

dimethicone as the second ingredient?? that and the alcohol denat..oh man. i’m sad. i love IT, but this needs to stop. i don’t think my skin would be happy. the original confidence cream broke me out, but i can use the eye cream and neck cream and like them both a lot.
