Happy Tuesday friends!

How’s your week going? Does the heat have you down? Try not to worry too much because Fall/Halloween decor is hitting the stores which means the cooler weather isn’t too far away now. I hope it’ll be a better Fall for us all! Better than the crazy Spring and Summer we had!

Do you have a love list this week you want to share? Go right ahead! Comments are open!

Here’s mine.

I haven’t seen my best friend in over three months. We’re still being diligent about remaining distant. All my friends are actually. I know most people are out there and getting on with their social life but we are all trying to remain as safe as possible and keeping apart seems like the logical and best thing to do right now. It hasn’t stopped my best friend from leaving me packages on my door every week though. Since this all start my bestie leaves all sorts of things for me. Sometimes snacks, sometimes something beauty related, sometimes a rubber chicken (true story)….! And I do the same for him. We Facetime daily but our little love packages have really helped me get along without him. It’s hard because we’re joined at the hip most days and share so many common interests like makeup, obsessing over our fav K and J-Bands, and just being silly like kids but the boxes sort of help us remember we’re still here for each other. I got a box from him yesterday and I had to add it to my love list because I didn’t realize how much I truly look forward to these boxes and how much they brighten up my day. It reminds me my friends are still out there and I’ll get to see them all again soon!

Also topping my love list this week is Peter Roth Thomas Hungarian Thermal Water Eye Cream. I’ve been using this daily since the pandemic started and I think I may have found my new holy grail eye cream. I really like this stuff. It’s creamy, slightly cooling, and it absorbs like a dream! I think I like it so much because it really preps well for concealer and leaves my eyes quite well hydrated. I mentioned how much I loved in my favorite concealer of the moment post and I have to say it still remains a top pick for me lately!

With Summer here and the warm weather full on I’m starting to go a lot lighter with my fragrance picks! One scent I’m reaching for quite often is Lush’s Dads Garden Lemon Tree Body Spray! I forgot how much I adore this. It’s tart, sunny, and perfect for the long, hot Summer Days!

The air conditioning is killing my skin! My boyfriend seriously freezes me out at home! He keeps the AC on 68. We can keep ice cream and bodies in our house. AC is lovely but too much of it is brutal on my skin! To keep things moist and well hydrated I am as always obsessed with CosRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. It’s the perfect pick to use as part of my nighttime routine.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I live in a town south of Boston with a large public beach <5 min from my house. (calling it Covid Village, don’tcha know). Since there’s no way I’m going there, I have to get seawater from skincare. Innisfree jeju lava seawater skin, Inkey List Sea Kelp serum, and Purito Deep Sea Pure Water Cream. Also on the love list are old MUFE shadows. All time example of being ‘fixed’ when they weren’t broken.

Ahh, yes! Sea salt. Been washing all my fruits and vegetables with it. Thank-you for reminding me about that. That I can still be connected to the sea even in the middle of Europe!

I saw sleek designed pocket sized hand sanitizers in various scents. I’ve always been a hand sanitizer type of person. I’m thinking sanitizers will not go out of fashion the next three years. They don’t have germ-x here. That is my favorite. And I miss the limited edition pocket sized ones.

The U.S. still have a/c units that drop down to 68 degrees?! I miss that too! Environmental laws in Europe only allow barely useful a/c units. Oh well, at least it gets cooler at night here. South East Florida was horrible hot all the time. As I know most of the U.S. is right now!

I tell ya, Muse. The Muse is definitely a muse. You have saved me from an unproductive and maybe hazardous shopping trip. I was going to do some anxiety shopping but came here instead.
Which inspired me to find uses for my “not so great” surplus sanitizers I panic bought.

I suppose my love list is all the secondary uses I have for my questionable purchases.
