The Best Three Blushes I Tried in 2020

I dunno if 2020 was the year of the blush for me but it didn’t stop me from finding at least three awesome ones to love. I hope, I wish, I prayer that 2021 brings us some new blushes. I just want some glow-y gorgeous blushes for Spring! I feel like Urban Decay has never introduced a proper blush! They should get on that. And also, it’s been a day and an age since Too Faced did a nice blush! I want some new pretty blushes to love on this year!

That being said the year hasn’t been a complete bust because these three blushes are well worth your coin!

If you don’t own The Saem Prism Light Blusher ($9.52) can we even still be friends anymore? This was one I reviewed way back in August when it felt like COVID was finally giving us a little break. It felt great being outside and having this gorgeous glow-y blush on my face while the Summer sun erased the idea that there was a pandemic raging around us! I’ve gotten so many compliments when wearing this. It has a bit of baked-like texture and applies with a gorgeous glow. This is one of those blushes that brings a gorgeous glow but not discoball shimmer and shine!

I thought Melt Cosmetics could never make something as amazing as Digital Dust Highlight in Genesis! Genesis is supposed to be a highlighter but I just use it as this uber awesome glow-y luminous delicious blush! It’s e-mazing! I didn’t think they could top that formula but they brought out Digital Dust Duo Blush and it’s like whoa, ok, this is popping! Available in three shades theses split blushes have a warmer toned bronzer and a blush that come housed in one compact! Both shades have a luminous glow that adds thee most delightful glowy color to cheeks! I’m an addicted. Totally a hit for 2020. BRING OUT MORE SHADES MELT!!!!!!!!!!

Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Duo Blush Swatches (Left Side Swatch, Right Side Swatch, Last Two Swatches are shades mixed together)

And a nod to the cheapest and equally brilliant blush from 2020! At just under $6 Hard Candy Just Glow Silk Blush is a brilliant little pick up! Soft, silky formula that blends seamlessly and adds a gorgeous pop of color a glow to cheeks! Where can you get all that for $5.97?

What are your fav blushes from 2020?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Those colors are lovely and they looked so nice on you! I used to adore blushes like that with a bit of shimmer, but I found I touched my face too often and ended up with shimmer all over my work clothes. I’ve tried to move toward more matte blushes as a result and found those harden in the pan in a way my shimmer blushes never did 🙁

My favorite blushes last summer were Blush Bouquet Dual Blush Palettes from Jouer in Adore and Flirt. I LOVED these. This fall and winter I’ve worn Hourglass blushes in Diffused Heat, Mood Exposure and Sublime. I try others but these do it for me!

My all time favorite blush is from Cargo. Swimmables blush in Bali. It stays on thru sweat and mask wearing. I LOVE IT!! You get a ton in the tin too. I bought mine at Kohl’s, but I don’t think they carry it anymore.

I assume you mean 2020 issues. Sydney Grace Paris Skies. The other SG blushes that I got are for the feather-handed. If it was this year, CP Tick got a lot of love. The gold shimmer in PS could make it suitable for you, despite it being cooler than your faves. With the Viseart Paris Nudes. On your trip to France. That we will enjoy vicariously. When this effin BS is over. HNY, Isabella.

Happy New Year! Love your blog. Thank you for all of the research and time you put into it. I appreciate you.❤

U always apply blush so well. Just got a It Cosmetics blush brush that won an Allure Best of Beauty Award last year for Christmas this year. So far the slanted angle of the brush takes the guess work out of finding the apples of ur cheeks!
