5 stars out of 5

Well, I finally purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Primrose All In One Face & Eye Shadow Palette and I regret nothing. NOTHING! This was a completely spontaneous purchase. I had no plans to haul it but I walked into Sephora with one of my dearest friends on Friday night while we waited to be seated at our favorite restaurant and I walked out with a few items and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette was one of the things I purchased.

ABH has been pretty much all Norvina all the time lately and I lost a little interest. I remember a time when hauling an Anastasia Beverly Hills was a very special event. Why? Because they never saturated the market with tons of releases at a time. Their palettes never came at a fast and furious rate. When they did finally release one it created an intense burn to purchase it right away knowing that they really put time and work into the release. You knew you were guaranteed a winner due to this slower pace. But then Norvina happened and every single hour we had some new bold, bright pigmented palette shoved in our faces. And hey, no hate, if you like bold, beautiful shades they def did some great palettes. But personally, I was over that stage of my life, and also, the releases started becoming excessive. Overnight ABH became Tarte with a new palette launching super quickly.

I actually think it turned me off to the brand and I stopped following what they were doing for a bit. When the Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette came along I remember having some interest but not enough to grab it right away.

And here we are! I’m now the proud owner of this palette and I urge you to grab it. It’s stunning.

This is a ten-shade eyeshadow palette that also, includes two matte face colors. It comes housed in a beige-y pink compact with a generously-sized mirror inside. The eyeshadows are 0.05 oz each and the face powders are 0.15 oz each. The price is $55 which is considerably more than a regular 14-pan eyeshadow palette from the brand by $10 and it also contains less product at that price point. However, the quality is incredible which may make you feel a bit better about that issue. I hauled mine on sale using my Rouge discount which is still ongoing now (use code SAVESPRING). At 20% Off it became a nicer deal. I know this was on sale during the Holidays as well but sadly, I did miss out.

The palette is dominated by matte shades. Both face powders are matte and five of the eyeshadows are matte with one being matte with finer gold shimmer. I don’t mind matte in the least as ABH always, ALWAYS excels at matte finish eyeshadows. These are soft, silky, and super pigmented. Yes, they do kick up a fair bit of powder but they blend like a dream! The metallic shades are some of the best I’ve tried in a very long time. They are soft, super creamy, buttery, and have incredible pigmentation. And again, they apply so beautifully smooth! I experienced no fallout with either finish. The palette is made in the USA. The shades are very versatile in the fact you can go softer or heavier for a glam look. The metallics just pop on eyes! They look incredible.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette Swatches (Rose Water, Peony, Honey, Rouge, Sparkling Amber)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette Swatches (Mango, Fire Opal, Primrose, Deep Berry, Claret)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette Swatches (Saddle and Grapefruit)

I was a little meh on the face powders here. I wasn’t sure how either would work on my face as Saddle, the deeper terracotta shade, was pretty warm and intense. Either shade actually works great as an eyeshadow if you want but mixing the two creates a very pretty warmth on skin. They surprised me in all honesty as one appears too light and the other too dark but paired together it’s a perfect harmony of warmth on my face and cheeks.

I gotta admit I really slept on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette. This is a keeper. The shades are gorgeous, the formula is incredible, and I think it’s going to make a great little Spring/Summer Palette for me. I’m still in awe over the metallics here. They are so creamy and delicious! I wish I could get a single pan of the shade Peony! It’s such a gorgeous peachy rose!

All in all, a great palette that gets a Muse Approval.

Where to buy

Sephora Ulta Nordstrom Macy’s

Anastasia Beverly Hills Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette is a $55 eye and face palette that contains ten eyeshadows and two face powders. This palette is dominated by soft, silky mattes that are incredibly pigmented and blend flawlessly. There are four metallic shades that are equally incredible with very pigmented, creamy, buttery textures. All the shades packed with pigment and have a smooth, easy application on eyes that blend to perfection. They are a bit powdery but I suffered no issues with fall out and the color lasted on my drier eyes all day without creasing or fading. The palette can be used to create softer or more glam looks.

Pros

  • Packed with pigment.
  • Outstanding texture.
  • Apply and blend flawlessly.

Cons

  • Wish It came with a brush!
  • Bit powdery but no issues with fall out.

Wearing this palette today after setting it aside for awhile and I remembered how much I love it. For all the reasons you mentioned. I got it when it was first released and didn’t wear it much in the winter but it’s perfect for spring.
