Kayali Perfume is launching a cherry fragrance this week and a lot of people are saying it could be a Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe. It’s fairly obvious the scent is going to have a dominant cherry note as much of the marketing they are teasing us with has cherries in it! But is it a Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe is the question that demands answering at the moment!

Honestly, I spent $390 on Lost Cherry when it originally launched, and surprise, surprise the price never did go down to the normal $285 price. I get asked a lot, “Is it worth it?” I dunno…I guess? I love the scent! It really is a great cherry scent and in an ocean of fragrances cherry is actually a note that isn’t as common as one would think. I have to admit I think Hilde Soliani’s Una Tira ‘Altra wears longer than Tom’s formula. I may even like it a bit more than Lost Cherry. But nonetheless, there’s no denying that Lost Cherry is a unique fragrance.

Lost Cherry has an exotic black cherry and liqueur scent with almond, Turkish rose, and jasmine sambac. It’s a very interesting scent that’s light, not overwhelming, playful, and dare I say it has some sexiness to it as well. Sadly, the fragrance is very weak which makes the $390 price tag questionable.

If Kayali does a Lost Cherry dupe chances are it’ll be stronger not to mention cheaper as the larger 3.4 oz bottles are $118 and the smaller 0.33 oz bottles are $25. Plus they have travel sprays as well! I have been wearing Kayali Eden for the last several months and I just know it’ll be part of my Fall 2022 line up as well. It’s a crisp, juicy, red apple scent that I adore. If they can capture cherry as well as they did this beautiful apple note I’ll be a very happy perfume lover indeed.

If you haven’t experienced the joys of Kayali yet do indulge in their sampler set. They have some very, very interesting scents that are worth trying!

One thing I’m praying for is that it’s sweet and not woodsy. Anything that contains cherry typically ends up woodsy as well and I’m just not that big a fan of woods.

Kayali’s newest fragrance will be revealed August 4th.

I can’t wait!
